The worst "joke" that coincidentally happened today...

So today I begin thumbing through online catalog of courses, as registration is soon and I need to get my schedule down. I check out my registration status, and notice it says "Your registration has a hold on it!".

So I call the Bursars office of the university and I get a wonderful lady.

Me - "So, I noticed I have a hold on my account, here is my student ID, can you tell me what is wrong"

Bursar - "You still have a remaining balance of 2800-something (I forgot total) dollars on the account"

Me - "Uhhh, I should have had financial aid to cover the remaining funding"

Bursar - "Let me put you on hold...." 10 Minutes go by "I see no aid offered to you anywhere, are you certain?"

Me - "I'm staring at my awarded aid right now online, I have more than enough to cover what is needed..."

Bursar - "Let me call the FinAid department, I'll be right back with yo...10 minutes go by..."Ok neil, I found out the problem, you are only taking 9 hours, therefore the aid will not deposit into your account, your balance remain 2800-something dollars"

Me - "Well, I was certainly unaware of that, thank you for your time, goodbye"


And then she hung up. I'm now fucking upset. Pretty pissed off to be honest. I didn't get a bill in the mail, a letter, an e-mail. Not a fucking thing. I get on the company phone and call my bank and ask them how big of a problem it would be to get a few thousand dollars from one of my accounts, when my cell phone rings. I ask the bank to hold a moment.

Bursar - "Hey, this is "so and so" from the Bursar office, I just spoke with you, I would just like to let you know that the FinAid had made a mistake and that all your tuition is covered, the registration is on hold because we need a verification form filled out, you'll find it online at ............."

So I hang up with the bank, pronounce my love for the lady in the bursar office for digging up my cell phone number to call me back, propose marriage, hang up, and dance in jubilation. Wow, what a shitty day.
