    That Monk battle is a classic. Not too hard if you're prepared (i.e. Earth Clothes and a good shield with Abandon), but if you're just out training it's really hard to win.

    haha i remember at the end of the game there was a waterfall level i liked to go to. Every once in a while NOTHING but damn choco's used to rape me iirc

    Bariaus Valley's Hydra/Tiamat/Dragon/Behemoths encounter is pretty fucking brutal too.

    Fuck, I hate that fight. Even in the PSP version, first time I got a Dark Knight he was one or two shotting everything, then this battle comes over and tramples my whole team. That hydra triple flame attack is fucking brutal

    Hardest challenge I tried was to have Ramza and 1 generic guy only be able to use abilities from 2 jobs and nothing else, then have 2 more generic people who can only be squires and nothing else and are always on auto battle (the one that makes them do normal shit). The rule is those 2 squires can't die or else we gotta restart. You'd be suprised how often they would decide it was a good idea to throw a rock at someone casting something that will definately kill them instead of just hitting them with their sword and killing them.
