It's out, and they fucking translated the story text at the start of levels this time!
Haha wow, unlocking the Dot Eater achievement opens up special Dot Eater leaderboards.

Is it still rock hard?![]()
Yes... I only played the trial so far. How the fuck do you get past that part in the trial where the ginormous ships take up 3/4 of the stage and it keeps trying to run you into the wall, and the other ship is shooting walls of bullets?

Quick Edit: For those who haven't played, you die when the actual model of your ship is hit, not your shield by an object or an opposite polarity bullet.
That's not really true. Like most Danmaku style games, your hitbox is actually an incredibly small location inside the model of your ship. Dot-Eating stage 2 is an obvious example of this.Originally Posted by Korietsu
Probably my TV then with my 360 settings.Originally Posted by MisterBob
However, having not played in a long while, I'm surprised that I'm in the 1200's on the leaderboards. I need to get back to playing and get up above 1k lol.
EDIT: Just played a match on XBL, its almost as bad as brawl =/.
XBL worked deliciously for me in most matches. One had pretty bad lag though.Originally Posted by Korietsu
I couldn't say the same, although my ISP could be pulling my chain again with the lag, apparently roadrunner doesn't support online gaming, but I played with someone 240 miles away on the same ISP, terrible lag. I did a couple of matchmade game and lagged, but I wasn't having problems in CoD4 or H3.
Is the XBL mode in this game Co-op? or no?
I knew I should've sold my GC version when it was worth a shit.
Its Co-Op. Lots of fun too, just hard depending on your lag.Originally Posted by Po
I'd be pissed off if I lagged while playing a danmaku game. Anything less than 0% slowdown and no lag shouldn't be tolerated.
Unfortunately the internet hasn't quite reached the point of instantaneous data transfer.Originally Posted by Elcura

Sorry if this is a bit late, I was at a lab class to finish the semester.
Edit, I wanted to know if anyone has noticed any changes in the stage and enemy layout. I noticed on chapter one you don't get the last wall of enemies at the end of the first chapter, and that the ship itself feels slower than on the GC/DC version.
God damnit, B++ on Ch2, hate when that happens.
I've been getting B++ all day =/. I lose chain about halfway through the level and can't pick it up from there.Originally Posted by MisterBob

Late I know, but I figured this was ever so slightly relevant.
Of course, naturally playing danmaku online is a pretty bad idea. Especially something as complex as Ikaruga.Originally Posted by MisterBob
It's really not bad at all with Ikaruga if you're just playing to complete it on Co-op. With 2 players you decimate most stuff before it even gets the chance to fire massive amounts of junk onto the screen. The only tricky level at all is level 4. Honestly though, when I played, lag was under 50-80ms, hardly noticeable.Originally Posted by Elcura
