    Cologne topic

I'm curious to see what everyone's favorite type of cologne is. My favorite is Cool Water. I don't know why, but I suddenly have the urge to go try out some new colognes. My little brother's favorite is Addidas, so I may try a bottle of that.

So yeah, everyone post your favorite colognes. Women, if you have a preferance as to what type of cologne you like your men to wear, post those too.

I always end up buying seasonal ones and can never find them again. I like the ones that make you smell clean, like sporty / summer ones.

Hollister has some nice cheap cologne, think it's called Jake?

I recently got Unforgivable by Sean John(P. Diddy, w/e he's calling himself now) it's actually really good. I was debating between that one and the Tommy Hilfigure Blue iirc.

If you like the more crisp smells (you can usually smell the alcohol at least bit in those) you prob won't like the ones I posted.

    1. Narrow down what kinds of cologne you want to buy
    2. Wear two different types, one on each wrist
    3. Have girls smell your wrist
    4. ???

I took a girl with me to go shopping, and when we went to shop for cologne, she wanted to smell EVERYTHING like a million times. She also put a bunch of different free samples on me and I walked around for the day smelling like 80 different things. I could make someone's eyes water from a mile away that day. I could hardly breathe without coughing. And in the end, she never decided which one she thinks smelled the best. Instead, she narrowed it down to like 12, which isn't narrow at all. I ended up buying more coolwater x.x

lol that is pretty standard across the board. Narrowing it down to 12 is extremely minute from her POV. I personally wear Nautica and got Curve for Christmas. They both smell really good and subtle.

<3 Drakkir Noir I believe is the proper spelling for it.

Havent bought a bottle in awhile, but believe it was fairly expensive for the real one. $60 for small bottle, $80-100 for large one.

    Bvlgari - Aqua. Its HOTTNESS.

I used to wear CK1 in middle school and Cool Water in high school.

For the record, I think Axe is tacky.

    Re: Cologne topic

Gucci - Envy for Men. I'll wear it myself sometimes, I like it that much.

Please please please, always remember if you're cologne/perfume shopping, and want to try something you're interested in, spray a little bit and WALK AROUND for at LEAST twenty minutes, then smell again. The way something smells in the bottle versus the way something smells mixed with your skin's oils are ENTIRELY different.

Also, if you're browsing at the counter, ask for the can of coffee beans they should have. After three whiffs of different cologne you wouldn't be able to tell any of them apart, and a noseful of coffee beans clears the palette.

If you like a particular smell, ask the salesperson what's in it, and start to keep it in mind. It makes it a hell of a lot easier to shop the next time when you can walk up and say "I'd like something with a sandlewood/bergamont/whatever base scent to it" instead of "lol how i shot smelling". If you can't tell I get dragged along whenever any of my guy friends are scent-shopping. Or any of my girlfriends.

What I enjoy wearing, because I'm hijackin' ur thread:

    Dior - Addict
    Tom Ford - Black Orchid
Givenchy - Ange ou Démon (absolute favourite)

A lot of times I'll also mix essential oils and make my own scents. These have the advantage of not having that harsh alcohol top scent, and mix beautifully with skin oils. Its also very easy to drag your fingers through your hair, and have a lovely difused scent that lasts. Recently I've been blending sandlewood majoram with jasmin absolute. If you do like essential oils, try and get the purest you can find. If they're chemically distilled, it effects the scent.

Worst type of customer ever. My family owns a retail store where we devote one section to brand name perfumes and we get these a lot. Then there's the cheap shits who come in pretending to be interesting in buying, but instead take a small sample and smear it all over their clothes.
