My girlfriend is graduating college this next semester with a degree in Spanish. She also is like 2 classes away from a Chinese minor, but she doesn't want to stick around another semester to get it. But this summer we're both interning at a church back in Minnesota, so she doesn't have to worry about a career until the fall.
Question is, do any of you know anything about working at adoption agencies? That's her dream job.... she'd love to work with kids in Latin America or China. Thing is, she doesn't really know where to start, and she's under the impression that you would need a masters in social work to be considered for that type of job.
Anyone know anything about this field? I know it's kind of a longshot, but if someone knows anything about it then it'd be nice to know what agencies are good, how to go about getting involved, if you do need further education to be considered, etc. Or else just another profession that is good that would make use of her Bilingual (almost trilingual) abilities.
K thnx!
