So I got turned into a vampire and am in the middle of the quest to get turned back to normal. There's a problem though, the lady won't take the bloodgrass. What gives?

What are you playing the game on? PS3's known to have an issue with it. This can help, possibly, or atleast tell you if you're sol or not. Scroll down to where it talks about the bugs.

Don't become a vampire silly donkey.
Thanks man. Pretty shitty they didn't fix that bug in the latest edition. Seems my options are to buy the $30 version of the game, or rent it at blockbuster for 10 minutes.Originally Posted by Marcin

Or play through as a Vampire.
Just went back to gamestop and bought a used copy of oblivion which I can then take back once I fix the bug, so that problem is fixed. However, in researching this bug, it appears there is a bug that after 250 hours played on a character or 365 days gametime, the game starts fucking up and becomes unplayable on that character. What the fuck is wrong with this game. Didn't it get game of the year or something?

Yea no kidding, I'm not very far into it, but it seems like it would be NP reaching that many hours with this game.
I ended up having to stop playing the game because I experienced so many fucking glitches..
really pissed me off because I loved the game.
One of my main annoyances was a bug in which I'd always be pursued by soldiers for a crime even after I paid the thieves guild to remove my crimes or w/e.
Couldn't fast travel, couldn't rest lol. So I just quit playing it.
Yea I wouldn't have bought the game if I knew about these bugs before hand. I don't see how they could over look them, it's not like they're minor bugs in a minor quest. Just these two are on the same level of seriousness as forgetting to program bullets into a FPS.
Couldn't you have gotten around the issue with the console? Just ask it what quest stage you're at, then set your quest to the next stage. That should correspond to the very next step (i.e. makes it think you already gave her the bloodgrass, and no more, so you can continue from there).
As for the playtime issue, can that also be solved through the console? Can you set your hours or days played?
I have no idea. That's beyond my computer knowledge.Originally Posted by Khamsin
Not sure, I found some random Oblivion forums that said there was no fix for consoles. Computer onry. If you know how though, please tell me or point me in the right direction.Originally Posted by Khamsin
best fix for this on the ps3 is to start over. playing as a vampire blows ass through a straw.
i was only like level 12 and not to far when i had to restart. good thing about this game is the early levels don't take long at all especially once you're familiar with stuff
I meant, the in-game console, not console systems.Originally Posted by SwampdonkeyPLD
There's a command to do pretty much anything and set any variable in the game. I do know specifically of a variable that keeps track of the current stage of your active quest, which is a number that indicates what step you're on.
e.g. a quest where you talk to an NPC to start, and have to give an item to some other NPC then escort them to a location.
If you check that variable at various times, you might find:
After talking to the NPC to start the quest and receiving the item, 100
After giving the item to the other NPC and initiating the escort phase, 200
After completing the escort phase, 300
After talking to the original NPC and claiming your reward, 400
So if, for example, the game freezes when you complete the escort phase, you could set the variable to 300 yourself, and the game acts as if you already did that step. So the next thing to do would be just to head to the original NPC and claim your reward, because he thinks you did his task already.
^ Pretty confident the PS3 and 360 versions don't have the ingame console that you can bring up.
