Connection Lost: FFXI, Bhaflau Thickets

So I'm playing FFXI in a merit pt bird camp(was here over 2 hours) and I happen to DC. Every time I log in, I'm r0'd and my game timed out. So then I get on my mule and everything is fine. So next time I tried to log in, I ran to the zone while r0'd and timed out at the zone but made it through and everything was fine.

I had thought that it was just my connection at this time. So later on tonight, I get a merit pt and head out to the thickets. As soon as I zone out from the ruins and into the thickets, I hit r0. I ran back to the zone and tried again. This time I r0'd and timed out.

I've only had this HDD for less than 48 hours so I haven't downloaded much at all besides my instant messengers, media player, anti virus/spyware shit, and installing FFXI so I don't think its a virus or anything.

Edit: Useless fucktards. I waited for 110 calls before mine and the GM doesn't even talk to me in person

Same thing just started happening to me and my friend in Southern sandy. It's really pissing me off I can't get to whitegate quickly now.

This is what I did.

I spammed the hell out of
/equip main "Warp Cudgel"
Took a long time to work but I finally got through.

Then after d/c'ing I did the same process, but to use it
/item "Warp Cudgel" <me>
Took a bit but i got it through once.

I'm assuming it'd also work with
/ma "Warp" <me>
if you are blm or subbing blm.

Update: I got the same BS GM message. Also, I can't log onto my main period.. after the notifying lobby part, it goes to downloading data and just stays there, till it says no connection was made; terminated.

I'm also in the same boat, zoned into Rolandberry fields...on a choco... and R0ed....I got the bogus message as well, they couldn't dignify me with a /tell, I havn't been able to get back on for almost 2 hous now and I can't get off my choco to zone back to Jeuno >.>

Same issue here across 2 PCs and a PS2 4 different accounts. It's totally random too. A zone that was dead for me last night is fine now and as soon as I zone I start to dc. I also am a sufferer of Comcrap broadband.

Posted this under the thread in Newbie section as well, but as the other poster said, disabling sound in FFXI config did the trick for me. I honestly don't know wtf that would have to do with anything and why it would matter, but apparently it does because after hours and hours of r0s in N.Sandoria I turned sound off and it was back to normal.

are you all on comcast? if so its probably something comcast implemented to spy on your packets (like the shit they do with torrents) and thus causing DCs, try finding a real ISP lol>.<; hell even the shitty ass retarded one i work at (AT&T) doesnt do that shit =/ (we just dont turn your service on at all...)

It's not just Comcast. At least 3 other members of my LS who are in different locations from me using different ISPs are having the same trouble. One had to have someone else log him on to move him out of that zone.
