Finally dinged 75 a couple of weeks ago or less. Posting the town gear I dinged into because I'm bored:

That. Not trying to be super nitpicky and if you have like 5 75 mages RDM/BLM/BRD/WHM/SMN then yeah, it's nice to consolidate your idle piece and it helps for Medicine Ring...but still Noble's is relatively really cheap these days(not assuming Waffles doesn't have one). Anyways hoping Kirin puts out a cloth tonight so g/f can stop borrowing other members' Noble's'.

1) Preferring how Dalmatica looks over well, anything is really iffy to me, lol, but that's entirely a matter of preference. Dalmatica RDMs look ugly as fuck to me, BLMs even more, it just doesn't match the hats well.

2) You'd be surprised, lol. Not saying you're one of them by any means, but there's a lot of fucking retards out there, some of them with Dalmaticas. And there's also the issue of actually buying a Dalmatica if you're WHM or BLM, just because it's like 3x the price of the Noble's which is already better, and like 100x the price of whatever that BLM version is for 1/tick idle gear. I'm not giving you shit at all, wish I had a Dalmy(well moreso a Morri, but you get it) myself.

That's 'shit's situational' itself as well. For Elv/Hum/Gal probably. -50 HP best idle gear for a Taru? Maybe not. Honestly it doesn't matter really, just another thing to nitpick about.

Odds are 50 hp is going to outweight 5 MDB for most spells cast on you. Assuming your topped off ofcourse.

I don't even cast anything in it besides RR3 if I'm at full idling MP. I use Noble's for Cures, Blessed for barspells and Stoneskin, Healer's Briault for those rare times I need to debuff something, Mahatma Houppelande for resting and ES Slow, and Goliard Saio for pretty much everything else. Just because I idle in a piece with lots of MP, defense and MDB, please don't assume I don't know what I'm doing.

To really nitpick Dalmy is 73 anyways so it's not 'town gear you dinged into' when you hit 75 WHM.

Well neither is anything else besides Walahra Turban, Phi Necklace and Novia/Loquacious, I was referring to all the gear I'd dinged into in general (Bomb, Dalm, Hlr. Mitts +1, Vivian, Ixion Cape, Gaiters etc.).

Got this tonight for my lolbst. This is my normal charming gear. Focuses on Charm+, then CHR. My CHR charm set is used if my first charm fails, or if i need for sure charm. BST really need some sort of back item..

I can't justify wearing Dalm on my WHM at all. Simply keeping capped Stoneskin is enough to absorb just about anything, that I can't see 5 MDB being enough of an improvement to actually make a difference (especially due to the fact that I'm out of AOE range 90% of the time). I have been caught in mega- or gigaflare at Bahamut, and it's easily survivable if I have Shell, Stoneskin, and Barfire up.

I also have an HP set for Devotion that brings me up to around 1300HP. And topping that off from 700HP just doesn't seem appealing at all.

I idle in aristo, but if I was enough of a fag to idle in something else it would be my marduk jubbah, not dalolmica. 3%hp 3%mp kthxbai.

Also, I dunno what kind of shit whm you or the people you hang out with are if they're in range of aoe for more than a few seconds without stoneskin.

IDK, I idle in cuisses royal cloak terras umbra etc because they're beneficial to me when I am not casting. I suppose that would be absurd though, remind me to take out my yukata and some less ugly pants.
