This would be fun for simple deathmatches, but with no apparent way to jump or strafe I'd only ever want to play another ipod player, and not against people with keyboards and mice.

Railgun shots would also probably be horribly inaccurate. Stick to weapons with huge sprays or blast radius.

i think more people are excited for the potential of what this device has if it can display complex openGL graphics like Quake 3, at high framerates

someone needs to make a PSX controller adapter for the ipod touch
