2008 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs!

I think the Stars still aren't getting the respect they deserve. Granted they have had early playoff exits for the past 3 years and Turco hasn't been a playoff caliber goaltender in the past. We knocked out the "soft" defending Stanley Sup champs in the first round but what's going to be the excuse this series? Whenever we beat someone, there's always some "reason" why the other team lost the series instead of why the Stars won. I'm already hearing that the Sharks are tired from their 7 game series and have lost the will and heart to play hockey. Biggest pile of BS I've heard.

As I said before, the only team I'm worried about is Detroit. I feel if we can beat them in the Conference Finals, we will be Stanley Cup champions for the 2007-2008 Season. Our D core needs to get back healthy and play at it's best against the Wings. Hopefully Zubov, who had an assist in his first game back since Jan. 17, will be back too 100% and Boucher can make his return. I think we've done exceptionally well with 3 rookie defensemen. Was hoping for a sweep against the Ducks after we took the first 2 games on road, maybe we can get it against the Sharks instead 8) Going to need to be operating on all cylinders to beat the Wings but I think we're up to the task.

Beside Price sucking, Flyers were outclassed imo, especially in 3rd period. Biron is the only reason why the series is not 3-0 canadian.

Flyers only had troubles in that 3rd period because of that bullshit Boarding call.
Rightfully Hatcher should've gotten a penalty, but nothing was done about that late hit from behind. It should have been a minor to the other player involved (forgot his name because he is a piece of shit) and a major to Hatcher. 4 on 4 for 2 minutes and a PP for Montreal the last 3 minutes.
He obviously wasn't hurt if he can get right up and attempt to start a brawl.

They shot 13 times against 35 or something like this.... Maybe 2-3 of those were dangerous at most. Flyers were horrible today, and not just in 3rd period.

I won't deny that when you watch them, the Flyers play ugly hockey most of the time. Ugly hockey works sometimes. Honestly though, with the complete lack of power plays that they get, the lack of puck time they actually have, they KNOW how to capitalize when it counts, hence the score being 3-2 at the end of the game. Hell the Canadians practically had half the game in the power play, and had a second 5 on 3 in the series that they didn't score on. Two full minutes of 5 on 3 and no goals and you call the Flyers horrible? Both teams are playing equally horrible when it counts, we'll just see if Price plays next game, and then we can see if that was the deciding factor.

I call the Flyers horrible because their playstyle consist of hitting anything that move in their zone instead of playing the game. It's sad when that kind of play style can make you win a game because it's freaking boring.

Personally, I think referees didnt give half of the penalty Flyers deserved in the last 2 games. It's stupid to not call half of them because "they got enough penalty already". Canadian should have scored more, especially on that 3v5, but they got like 5 poles in the games, missed many open nets after good play and got stolen a few time by Biron. I dont think it was that bad.


Anyway, I cant imagine Flyers winning this series like this if they dont step up. You cant win 4 games with 13 shots..at least not with 3 goals

In the Philly paper today, Hatcher said originally the ref told him it was 2 min penalty, then saw the blood on Boullin and said now its five. Hatcher said if he knew he was gonna get thrown out, he would have finished the hit instead of letting up on him. hahahahaha

bitch and complain all you want about the style of play, you are hyping it up. cant make that excuse for losing the game. the flyers are playing their style of hockey and they are the ones winning the games. maybe you guys should throw the body around and see if you can get a jump in your step. it's a contact sport, don't cry when we play it that way.

Coming from the best power play team in the regular season, a team we NEVER beat during the regular season, I don't think it's the Flyers who "need to step up to win the series." I'm pretty sure the ball is in Montreal's court to perform, and honestly yeah that scares me a little.
