Meh, blind squirrels and nuts.
Meh, blind squirrels and nuts.
lol, Rangers are so much better without Avery.
I can't tell if Avalanche is fucking horrible this series, or if Red Wings are just amazing. I don't know how scared to be of a Dallas vs Detroit series.![]()
The Avs got slaughtered. 8-2 at home? The biggest mismatch of these playoffs. Red Wings look scary good. I think the Stars match up well with them, so hopefully we can pull off that series and advance to the Stanley Cup finals against the Pens.
I'm content with this playoff year now, even if the Wings lose next round to Dallas I'd meh at best. All because they got to beat the hell out of the shitty Avs![]()

Yes, Flyers will beat the Pens!
The Pens didn't want to play us in round 1 that's why they tossed that last game with us to get the Sens who were on a downfall.
Boy Detroit sure kicked the Avs when they were down. It was quite amusing.
Bad call on their part, cause honestly we look to be only getting better as these playoffs are coming along. With that said, I hope we finish things up on game 5, and the Rangers knock another 1 or 2 out to give us some rest.Originally Posted by Seditedi
That Av's game was absolutely pathetic. I turned it off as soon as the Wings got the 4th goal, like 3 minutes or something into the second? Just terrible. Also boo to the Rangers for winning, god I can't stand that damn chant their fans do after scoring....seriously, ooooooh oh oh, hey hey hey, wtf is that?
fuck yeah
Star's defense choked from that 3rd period on. Disappointing...
Hmm let's think about this. An easy series against an injury depleted team with goaltending issues in the first round? Or a violent, emotionally draining series against your biggest rivals in the first round? The Pens didn't want to play us in round 1 that's why they tossed that last game with us to get the Sens who were on a downfall.
Come on Sed. You know better than that. Pens play the Flyers round one and they win, they get knocked out next round because those two would beat the fuck out of each other and we both know it lol. Vice versa if Philadelphia would have won.
Hopefully the Pens can close out on the Rangers Sunday. Pens vs. Flyers in the Eastern Conference Finals has just about every hockey fan in Pennsylvania drooling right now.
I might be trying to make excuses for the loss against the Rangers, but I really think we blew that game as well to give the fans a win at home for this series. It's so easy to tell when the Pens are actually playing and when they're not, and there were way too many smiles on the bench after the game to make me think they were upset or shocked by their loss.
I'm not saying it wasn't a smart move, but they definitely did toss that game to get an easy first round.Originally Posted by BrillCS
I would definitely agree they tossed the game. But I don't think it was out of fear the Flyers. After the Flyers mauled them earlier in the season, what 4 times, the Pens came back and won the next three off them easily. As far as I'm concerned the series would go 50/50.I'm not saying it wasn't a smart move, but they definitely did toss that game to get an easy first round.
I do think home ice will play a huge part in it. But let's not get too hasty. They still have to finish off the Rangers.
Yea, haha.
I've been jumping the gun on thinking the Flyers are done with the Canadiens as well.
Looking like this is going to be a pretty good game tonight.
Wooooooooooooo.
Now Pittsburgh just has to get back on track vs the Rangers and we'll have a hell of an Eastern Conference final.
Hoping Western is Dallas/Detroit.
The Pens merely delayed the inevitable when they tanked the last game of the regular season.
