Because they rely on 2 players to do 90% of the jobs, and quite frankly, they had a lot of luck in both series they played. Say skill if you want, but I havent seen many team team that winning so many game by shooting so little on the other goalers.

They were outshot in the 1st 4 games on the Habs series because they had the lead... look at the last game, they were down and outshot them. Flyers had the most 20 goal scorers in the league w/o Gagne and Umberger had 13 all year so nice logic that it was only 2 players.

The NHL has a severe problem with consistency when it comes to their enforcement of the rules. I remember clearly in last years playoffs that two identical kicking goals happened. One was allowed and one was not.

It makes you wonder if Gary Bettman instructs the refs to keep the games as close as possible to attract more fans. The problem is, once anyone with a brain sees that the reffing is so damn one-sided or arbitrary they'll be turned off immediately.

Biron did his job, Price didn't do his. Knowing this, how can you say a team won a series in 5 games all due to luck? You are just like the Canadiens and their fans, thinking you deserve all this shit. Like you dont have to work for it.

You think Biron and Umberger were the only reasons they won? Then you surely dont know much about hockey. The plays done away from the puck is what won this series for the flyers. Forcing players like kovalev and other offensive people into places they dont want to be in. You PP struggled because all the passing lanes were shut down for the cross-ice passes, which is one of the reasons their PP was so good. It's cause of players like Timmonen, Hatcher, Richards, Carter, Knuble.. etc. Especially on the penalty kills. Lets see here, you have Streit, a forward, play the point on the PP. Richards, one of the best PKers in the league, pressuring him when he has the puck. Do you think it was the Flyers luck that they got 3 short-handed breakaways on turnovers from Streit?

I could go on and on, but it's clear your argument is based on nothing more than your saltiness from losing.

Ill be honest when I say that going into the series, i was concerned about playing the Habs, due to their offensive firepower. But the Flyers were so much more committed to team defense and the habs were not.

The more I think about it the more I think Philly may upset Pittsburgh. If Biron stays on top of his game and the offense continues to generate goals they're going to give the Pens a hell of a time. Pittsburgh struggled a little bit with the Rangers it seemed.

At any rate, it's going to be an awesome series. I can't wait.
