Streit played forward in the series and also some of the season. he's an offensive minded defenseman, who pretty much doesnt play D. the roster can say w/e it wants, as can wiki. the D was Komisaurek/Markov, Hamrlik/Boullion, Gorges/O'Byrne/Brisebois

I hope montreal get eliminate quickly. Fucking tired of hearing about hockey on the news and everywhere.

Boston was my pick in first series, and Ottawa was my 2nd favorite team (however, I didnt have any hope about any of them). I just happen to hate Flyers because their style havent changed much in years, and it generally make boring game. Playing defensively, harassing other players, trying to make other lose concentration through any means...sure it can make you win game, but it's not good hockey, it's not even fun to watch.

Both Montreal and Flyers didnt made it to the playoff last years. Not sure how many players were traded since then in both team, but it was surprising to see both get that far either way.

Red Wings have a history of choking in the playoffs so maybe the Stars will outdo them.
I'd personally like to see the Stars, but I don't know how that series is going to go.

Give them time, Wings are bound to choke like they have done the past few years when winning the President's Cup. They really haven't played anyone that could challenge them....Nashville had no right to be in the playoffs, and Colorado was demolished with injuries. The comment about Turco not winning at Joe Louis in his career means nothing, because until this year, he hadn't won any series in the playoffs either. (Or was it only 1 series, I forgot....) He's due.

Compared to the Senators series, I could see how someone might think we struggled. The Rangers were a better team, big surprise that it was more of a competition than the Senators.

With how much bad blood there is between the two teams, this series could easily end up being like the old Detroit/Colorado matchups from several years ago. You know the ones where pretty much every player on each roster ended up in the box. And the Roy vs Osgood fight.

I remember when Hextall came after Rob Brown for scoring a goal on him. He always cracked me up because he's fucking crazy. Borasso was getting a bit unhinged down towards the end too. I remember they played Colorado and some guy went around behind the net and Borasso whirled around and swung his stick at him. Broke the guy's arm too.

You sound like a disillusioned fanboy. First of all, the Wings were dropped twice in the first-round in recent years (last year's Conference Finals loss to the eventual Stanley Cup champion Ducks CERTAINLY doesn't qualify as a choke job, imo), 2003 to the Ducks, and 2006 to the Oilers. Both of those teams made it to the Stanley Cup Finals and lost in 7 games (e.g. they were half a game from winning the cup); hardly a comparison worth making to state your case well. (When they won the President's Trophy before the 04 Cup Playoffs they lost to Calgary in the second round, and Calgary eventually lost in the Stanley Cup Finals in 7 games as well )

The Stars have a great team this year, there is no doubt. The Wings look fantastic as well, which means that it should shape up to be quite a good series, especially with the mildly conflicting mentalities of coaching on each side. Barring a sweep in favor of Dallas, there won't be any choking on the part of the Red Wings, and if you're a fan of Dallas, wouldn't you want your team to simply outplay them anyways? Sneaking into the Stanley Cup Finals probably just means that the Stars will get swept by the Pens (yeah, I said it)...
