Avs got Forsberg and Foote back, all they need now is Roy and Claude Lemeuix back for a truly epic playoff matchup against Detroit.

I know nothing about Hockey, but go Sharks! Since they're local. :D
game one devils vs rangers, 4-1 rangers. I'm very sad.![]()
game was much closer than the score suggested. Rangers were great on capitalizing on Devils mistakes, especially Brodeur's, great win!Originally Posted by Furtwangler
Fuck yes. CGY-SJ is already shaping up to be a good one. Nice to see Calgary guarantee a split heading home. :3 So pumped for Game 2 tomorrow.
Lost my voice tonight. Best game ever.![]()
the intensity level of the Avs game last night was great. I hope the whole series is like that.
I can't wait to see the Stars Ducks tonight, expect that series to get nasty in a hurry.
Side note, I absolutely LOVE play off matches that are divisonal, seems like there is more intensity and animosity.

Last I checked Colorado got snow.
Ottawa got killed, big surprise...
If it wasnt for gerber it could have easily been 5-0 after the first 30 minutes of the game.
Ottawa has to have the worse defense out of all the playoff teams. Redden has become laughable.
Got my ticket to game 5 in Montreal next Thursday... somehow doubt that game will even be played though, we'll see. Regardless, it will be a warmup for my liver as the main event will be UFC 83 on the Saturday. Going to be seeing a lot of the Bell Center.
As some one who used to live where there was snow (and wants to go back) I am happy that I can still go to hockey games here in FL.Originally Posted by Dolmen
There's going to be a lot of suprises this year I think. Anahiem is no where near the team they were last year, especially without Perry, and San Jose doesn't match up well against Calgary. I thinking it's going to be a Colorado vs Calgary conference final in the west, and Montreal vs Pitt in the East.
Will come down to a Montreal vs Calgary cup final with Montreal winning, just like in '86.
Go Habs Go!
East
Montreal win against Boston
Pittsburg win against Ottawa
Washington win against Philadelphia
New Jersey win against NY Rangers
Montreal win against New Jersey
Pittsburg win against Washington
Montreal win against Pittsburg
West
Detroit win against Nashville
Calgary win against San Jose
Colorado win against Minnesota
Anaheim win against Dallas
Calgary win against Detroit
Anaheim win against Colorado
Calgary win against Anaheim
Final!
Calgary lose to Montreal!
The habs have a very good team this year. Check for Kovalev to lead the team to victory with Price being another important reason for the success.
Go Habs Go!
I was at the Wild game last night, I honestly don't see how the Wild can win this series, they're down to 5 defencemen on the entire roster for game 2, of which only Burns and Johanson would be playing 10+ minutes if it weren't for the injuries.
Even in the loss Koviu and Burns looked amazing last night. The Avs pretty much shut down Gaborik, if he even did have a shot on goal it was not a hard one.(oh well he had that one in the first but it was from pretty high). Butch and Rolston looked alright, but if guys like Boogard and Hill continue to get this many minutes we have no shot.
Semi-bump here, but just got done watching Flyers-Caps game.
Holy hell did the Flyers give that game away. They have a 2 goal lead after two periods and are totally dominating. Then the Caps get a bullshit goal to tie it when the refs don't stop play with an injured Flyer on the ice while the Caps have a power play. They get the game winning goal by a stupid give away right in front of the net that even I could have banged home. A few minutes later the Flyers blow a perfect scoring chance on a cross ice pass right in front of the net that they whiff at with a wide open net.
It was a good game and should be a great series, and I still think Philly will pull it out.
If they stopped every time someone got injured people would start faking it. They're only supposed to stop the play for life threatening injuries. If his artery burst open and he was spraying blood all over the ice that would be completely different.Originally Posted by Soarian
