Zetterberg deserved it as much, it was definitely one of the two taking it though.

Credit to the Pens for picking it up after the first 2 losses and making it a series, hopefully they don't get broken up too much over the offseason.

And fuck yes Wings win the Cup!!!!

it was a good game, and a good series. not really any point in anyone being upset with the wings winning (except for pens fans...fuck you guys for knocking out my rangers!). detroit was really the best team from start to finish this season, its about time they got themselves another cup.

Maybe you weren't watching the same playoffs that I was watching, but Zetterberg was tied for the most points in the playoffs with (27), and tied for the most goals in the playoffs with (13), and that isn't even touching what he did on penalty kills, especially the 5-on-3 chances in both game 4 and game 6 that could have easily turned the series both times. He is/was one of the hardest working players on either side, and I'm glad that he was chosen.

Incidentally, I'm not saying Osgood wasn't great (he was!), but I can definitely see where Zetterberg got the votes, and I agree 100%...

Wouldn't have shocked me if Osgood got it. (I believe he had 3 shutouts?) Aside from points and special teams play, Hank was matched up against Crosby for most of the finals. And he did a damn good job of keeping him in check.

I would have expected the whistle to be blown long before the puck slid over the line, but props to the official for actually being able to see the puck. With everyone not knowing where it was and crowding Fleury, I was anticipating an early whistle.


And Dense, sorry for having a differing opinion from you? From a Pittsburgh fan perspective, Osgood deserved the Smythe for his performance in the finals alone. Regardless of what has been said, or could be said, about the Penguins, our offense is very good, and Osgood just wouldn't let anything by.

Was typed before the replays showed the puck free and visible to the ref. I expected a whistle thinking it was covered and knocked in, so yeah, in the moment it's a fair judgement and I didn't feel like going back to edit a post 2 minutes later after seeing replays.

You said "and a huge lol @ Zetterberg getting the Smythe" which I interpreted as you having not been playing close attention to everything that man did, not just scoring (leading the scoring and points, btw), but also keeping Crosby in check on Defence (he played a helluva Finals series), but also his play leading up to the finals series. He was spectacular. I think that Osgood was really on point, but his success came mostly at the hands of the overpowering defensive play of the Wings (and some can even be attributed to Hank). I don't mind you having a different opinion, but LOLing at the fact that someone got the MVP that really deserves it, for me, sounds a bit strange...
