Well some non-hockey fans such as myself buy into the new, young guys and what not. I actually watched part of the game (Zomg) and saw where he scored the goal. Was pretty awesome. I'm a football/baseball/golf/basketball fan though. I had interest in hockey a little before the strike, but a year without sort of "meh'd" it out for me. I don't know who a lot of people are or where they are now. D:

The Wild/Avalanche series has been fantastic through two games. I doubt it will end up as good as the '03 series, but it's off to a hell of a good start in any case.

Went to the second game too, did you end up going? One thing I noticed is that the Pens really, really feed off the fans. Wednesday's game was loud enough you couldn't hear the goal horn over the fans, but last night's was pretty fucking dead. I half fault whoever runs the jumbotron things to get people pumped up. There were more of those things in the first period on Wednesday than there were in the whole game last night. Gerber was a hell of a lot better too, to be fair, last night.

I was referring more to Malkin than Crosby. And yeah I made it over to game 2. The only time I've seen a crowd more into a game was when I went to Lemieux's second comeback game against the Maple Leafs. It was absolute fucking chaos. Espn had televised it and when Lemieux scored that building was ready to explode.

Runningdemon is right though. Malkin and Crosby do not play on the same line, with good reason. Malkin has developed one hell of a repoire with Petr Sykora and Ryan Malone. They are without a doubt the top line on the Penguins right now. Not that the Marian Hossa - Sydney Crosby - Pascal Dupuis line is something to just throw in the dumpster or anything.
