    Looking for a new distro

Hi there BG. I know a few of you use linux. I've been running Ubuntu for a long ass time (See topic about ubuntu 8.04 coming soon) and have loved the hell out of it. But recently I've been wanting to try out new environments (Like newer versions of gnome, kde, metacity) but without screwing up my install and having funky effects. So I ask you BG what is a distro of linux that will allow me to do this but still has the stability and ease of use as Ubuntu?

if you want to stay up to date with new releases of system components etc, try Fedora, to my knowledge they're the fastest with getting out new releases with brandnew components

stability, probably. ease of use, depends. the actual "usability" depends mostly on the desktop, not the distro. but in terms of "supports pretty much any hardware without or with only little configuration", i'm pretty sure no distro can top ubuntu.

(btw, haven't tried fedora myself, only read about it. using ubuntu myself since i gave up getting my WLAN card running under debian <.<)
