NA Release is today I thought? It should be up sometime today.
There's like 0 difference between Europe and US release. Apparently, they both released today. Or it was a mix up and the (E) is meant to be a (U).
I have to wait til Friday to pick this up because my manager is making me buy my MGS4 LE today
I downloaded the European one remotely, going to load it up once I get home. Did it need the Arm7 fix or can I save some time and just load it up and play?
There is a difference, Europe release has 4 languages available.Originally Posted by Leb

I picked 2 for the lulz, I wonder if this affects anything.
little over 3 hours in now. I'm doing the mission where you give your clan a new title, and the quest is seriously retarded.
[spoiler:2tx8rh7p]It's for Negotiation I. The law is the one where you can't use anything that hits multiple areas/boxes. The two little mobs can charm and make my blm or whm use aoe spells, so I'm using just melee in the fight. Then one of them will get a crit and knock back the monster which makes me fail cuz that somehow counts as a multiple area thing as well. THIS IS GAY. I'm srsly just restarting and doing it over and over hoping no one crits...... Am I missing something here rofl[/spoiler:2tx8rh7p]
anyways done ranting about that. other than this one mission, i'm enjoying the game so far
Ya I had gay shit like that happen to me too, especially that charm stuff and breaking laws. That shouldn't count. Another really gay law is "No damage above 50 or 100" because crits go over it usually so you have to pray you don't crit.
yea i had the >50 dmg one. i realize the laws are there to make it more challenging, but its so lame when u get ones like that where you have to rely so much on luck. i finally beat that one mission after like 9 restarts. =/
p.s. was anyone able to get the strat guide? all of the gamestops around here didnt have them today, but i think my bf said they dont ship till the 27th. just wondering if it was like that everywhere.
I'm like two hours into the game, and not really liking it, it looks, feels, and plays pretty much exactly like FFTA. I think I'd rather go back and play FFT on PS1 for like the tenth time than keep playing this.
it is a sequel to ffta so idk why you'd expect it to be a lot different
I need a list of all job reqs/quests that unlocks them now. Like a shitload more jobs in this one then the one on the GBA. @@

Meh, I was really excited about the game until I heard all the reviews. Negative reviews from people who only played FFTA, even.
Anyone know the name of a good DS emulator? I think I'll just download it.

You people really fail at googling :/
I didn't really.Originally Posted by Setsuko

I don't like how you have to unlock the jobs through quests really. It's frustrating especially during the beginning when you have maxed your abilities and stuff but can't change jobs or get new weapons due to the stupid bazaar system. That's my only complaint. The gameplay is fine it's just weapons/job unlocking is not really implemented well. Also, I wish there was a way for me to check which jobs level you up in which way so I know what's the best job to keep my units on when I'm grinding for level ups. Like, a White Mage is obviously going to be more MP per level up than a Soldier, and a Soldier is going to get more attack than an Archer.
I am liking this so far, it is enough like FFTA to warrant giving it a good chance. I do feel like the pace is just so much slower than the previous game but maybe i just don't remember it taking so long to finish a single quest.
The 2nd quest took me nearly 45 minutes this morning, and there really was nothing i could have done to speed it up. That said though, liking it so far.
Laws against missing can go fuck themselves.
Oh, and the higher ranking clan upgrade challenges are stacked against you like nobody's business.
Game is still fun, although my Black Mage is rotting in a corner because I can't get anything past Fire/Blizzard/Thunder out of the Bazaar system.
