To be honest, I wear MP gear as BRD/NIN, too. Full Zenith = Minstrel's Ring gooooooooo! ^^

Really, though, there's not a whole lot you can do for buffs on BRD. Few skill pieces here and there to cap out melee songs, fast cast/-cast time gear where available, and all your other slots are basically worthless. Now, if you're going to fulltime MP gear, that's another story. I think most of us can agree that playing any job with only 1 set of gear is fail.

As you can see from the horn/staff, they were sleeping Mamools in this gear, which is over 9,000 points of fail. There isn't much you can do for buffs on Bard, and I too use Zenith on BRD/NIN to get Minstrel's to work, but this isn't a Minstrel's Ring setup. This is casting Lullaby in MP gear.

Inevitably I wind up dead somewhere, and a Pld or Rdm scoots by on Crimson legs, starts casting raise...

My idle/haste gear on RDM has w.hands in it. I was meriting with LS with a (leeching) PLD and two Adaberk DRKs. Hasted the DRKs no problem, but the PLD had forgotten his Justice Sword, so was going Hrotti/Joyeuse... fucking intimidated me 3 times in a row trying to get Haste back on him.

I honestly try to not make fun of people's gear, mine's definitely NOT the best it can be, but..

my last invite as nin/war was to a party where leader invited, after inviting me, a 74pld/30war. JP hume. His full time gear consisted of:

2 dodge earrings
2 phalanx rings
af feet, af legs
royal cloak
darksteel gorget
durandal/i forget shield
phantom tathlum.

leader proceeded to ask me if I wouldn't mind switching to blm for healing purposes.

I don't really brd/nin too often so my specific set of gear for it isn't really that awesome. It was only once I bought a minstrel's ring that I switched tamas out of it--BRD gear really doesn't matter if you aren't a. healing a crapton b. trying to land elegy or lullaby on something that is resistant. The rest is just for show really

The Agi/Str ring has a different graphic; assuming it's one of the lvl 50 assault rings, it's actually the +15hp +15mp one

And yeah, he used to run around in full yellow JSE. Never saw him at a camp etc. or I'd have posted him myself (which begs the question, just how much campaign do these people spam to level up?)
