There are people I give leeway on NQ amemet mantles.

Oh yes, I am actually understanding in certain situations.

Jobs that don't melee (Rdm's), Jobs that actually gimp gear on purpose (Bst's), First jobbers who are at least putting effort into things (I.E. only acceptable AF, staple body piece+acc rings/belt/neck, up to date weapons, but clearly scrimping and trying to maximize the gil/effect ratio) and such.

I've seen, off the top of my head, PCC + NQ Amemet, Black Belt + NQ Amemet, Haidate + NQ Amemet, Sea Torques + NQ Amemet.

I'm expecting to see a Ridill + NQ Amemet, probably with an Ebody for good measure.

Seriously though, there has been a RIDICULOUS amount of them lately, maybe it's just spending more time in WG the last few days than I have in a while, but god damn it is absurd.

Kill Ladybugs for a couple of hours, murder some bugards, something.

It's a staple piece, you'll never have to worry about it again if you really don't want too, it's actually a good cost/benefit compared to some things. (I just spent 2,300,000 for 1 Def, 1 Str, 1 Dex, 2 Acc, 2 Att, and a white box with my Berk > +1 upgrade NQ > HQ Amemet is 3k~200k for 1 Def 1 Str 5 Att, and a white box)

Take ANY set of "standard" or "approved" gear on a lvl 75 who's put some time into their character, and find me someone who wouldn't jump at 1 Str 1 Def 5 Att for 200k compared to the upgrade/prices you start dealing with later.

Some people get an NQ amemet because they don't want to make the investment for such a short gain that lasts such a small amount of time when they have something better already like foragers or Cerb+1 that they can ding into. You can just see the rest of their gear and kind of draw the conclusion that they most likely have somewhat of an idea of what they're doing, they're probably just cheap and rather spend money on longer more rewarding investments than 1 str and 5 atk that will be replaced in 2-3 days by something better anyway. I'd be more concerned about the minuet earring or bibiki seashell than the nq mantle.

Yeah, thats why I would be JUST a little less quick to jump on a lvl 70 in one... but really if you're dinging into a Forager's or Cerb/+1, why the fuck don't you just buy an AM +1 and sell it back when you're done?

NQ Amemet Mantles make me wanna stomp someones face in.

I think this has to be said. While the HQ mantle is a great piece of equipment not having one doesn't deserve a place in this topic. There is worst things for him to be wearing like nomad mantle at 69. The mantle is 200k atm and I can think of a few things I would do with 200k before I got a cape for +1str +5att. Now that doesn't mean I wont farm one for a job I need it for but this persons priority's might not be making mnk look +1 till 75.

Yea, they could replace that spike earring with a merman's instead for +1 atk to the current setup. 200k

This sexy beast from my own LS got a ridill for his hott war. I asked him if he uses these fulltime, he said yes, since he doesn't do any sky. He was totally oblivious to how Slow% or Haste% effects on his gear work and said that 3% or 5% it won't make a difference. Of course, since he doesn't even bother with dusk or a turban. What would he get from sky anyway...Heca feet? I don't really know. Way to waste a ridill.
