There's a Serket Ring on one and an Osode on the other. From the point of view of a Bard, that gil could be better spent on an Apollo's Staff. However, looking again, it looks like for those two, and the fourth, their Bard is a second, third, or higher job, so Osode and Serket Ring might have more use on other jobs than their rarely-used Apollo's on Bard. If they're Bard and Bard only, then they obviously suck.

Most of that gear can easily be recycled through their other jobs. AF+1? Most established LSs will upgrade that stuff for free. Manteel is usually given away to brds and the other pieces aren't that expensive iirc. I'm not saying having NQ staves is ok, BUT it's understandable if you're a merit whore/LSE bard only.

I disagree with most of the comments about the hq light staff. HQ instruments and an HQ earth staff are imho the most important things for a brd. Sure, an HQ light staff is nice, yes, but not VITAL. I'd hardly call a brd gimp for using an NQ light staff, but that's just me. I'd call a brd gimp for having nq instruments when the hq cost 10k or so. Oh, I have an HQ light staff for my brd, before anyone says anything. :3

wow time to set up a new system, my ls has a point value assigned. Last batch of them made there were 9 manteels only one was bid on by a member (I think he was 75 for all of 2 days prior to receiving) all the rest went to the AH for funding the LS bank so completely win win for us (around 15~ bards in the ls only 3-4 considered "main").

For the guy that leveled Bard just for merits/LSE (which I know some that do because their main isn't that great end-game), that's exactly what they do. I find it very understandable, but it is lazy. But you wear RSE feet because you like how it looks, so some people have different preferences .

P.S: I take care of my BRD very well but you know as much as I do that there's diminishing effects on HQ gear for BRD after the initial AF+1/marduk/HQ staves/instruments.

LOL point systems suck. We just give stuff like DRK JSE mats, manteels, cerb mantles, etc. away to member who show up for the events they drop from, lol. Given they have some seniority and aren't too new to the shell. I think we only have a few "main" brds in our LS as well. Still I hope you didn't hold onto that many at once, shit never sells. <_> Like when we get backed up on 5 cerb mantles and go to sell some. But yah, point systems suck.

I gotta agree with this also. If this person is being a gimp by all means tell him in private or better yet ask him to consult people in your shell for ideas on how to better gear your THF. *Zidan for example in terms of well geared LP THFs* Irony is I can't talk because I still lack a Blau Dolch but sooner or later the ENM will cough up the damn thing.

The only thing I shake my head at is the Heart Snatcher. Utter waste of time that I camped that thing, broke it and tested it to realize a Daylight Dagger is just about as good. Back on topic tho. You shouldn't bash your own shell members on this thread. It's in poor taste no matter how you feel about them.

I think there are 1-2 left to sell, we don't flood the market with them just one at a time until they are sold, that was at the end of last month so not quite 3 full weeks, not bad for something that's still considered a big chunk of change even with deflation and yigit availability. Point systems only suck if members aren't respectful of benefiting the LS over themselves and those situations always tend to arise eventually, luckily only about 5 times in the year+ I've been in this LS.

Unless you've been in a LS where they used points, don't say "points system suck" and not back up your argument. Don't be an idiot, please.

Ok, well, I got an invite from a thf on my 64 pld, party looks decent sch, rdm, thf, drk, mnk and me on pld.

We get to camp, Colibri in bhaf thickets. I check the drk and the mnk, both were wearing average to well equiped gear, followed by the sch who was very well geared, then the thf who looked like he belonged in sacarium or another 50 cap zone (mercanery's doublet, bone knife +1's, the level 15 vit belt, etc).
Then the redmage came, subbing 30 ninja to his 65 rdm.
He was wearing:
Dark staff
Scorpion Harness
Sniper's Ring
Anniversary ring
That was it, I waited 2 fights to see if he was actually serious, then I got pissed off and told them to boot him or I was leaving( the power of being a needed job!)

Sorry for the no screenshots and such, I was playing on ps2.

Yea small picture is small. The tank is the one with the lizard shit on. Me and the BLM were the only ones geared well in the PT. Damn party couldn't even handle bats and WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH TANKS NOT PROVOKING LATELY? IS 30 GOT DAMN SECONDS TOO HARD TO COUNT IN ONE'S HEAD? This is why I don't merit on RDM anymore, and just to think(that and they can take their 5k/hr and shove it up their asses), I have to put up with this crap on scholar.

Honestly, RSE is free, hell even BEETLE ARMOR would have suffice. Give me a damn break.
