I'm Elya and thats town gear, my sam was semi retired from when i was on fenrir and have started to use it more for salvage tanking when our mnks dont show up i have shura togi and all ws gorgets. etc and i borrow a hagun if i really need it because as i said it was semi retired. im more surprised they didnt get me when i forgot to take my storm ring and soboro off for a khim. I have 1.6 mil and Hagun is 2 mil on ramuh and sam got bumped to my third job after i levelled cor if i did use it more i would debate getting a hagun but i use it once maybe twice a week.

give or take a few swaps for salvage or type of mob Usukane <> shura legs and haste sets, i know what needs upgrading (weapon, grip, second earring and throwing). my other jobs 75 war and cor so i do have war sub -_-, and no great Katana combat skills merits either.

I have horrible luck on ENM and UG, although i stopped going about one month ago when i had exams and have yet to start up again, i have 1.4 mil of stuff waiting to sell with one HQ staff left to buy for cor and maybe some bloodwood lumber, which would leave me about 2 mil, another factor though is that i can borrow friends hagun which is why i have averted getting one for so long, im now 2/5 on usu set and starting to enjoy playing sam again so more than likely i will get the gear again. I have NQ haub and mix and match for various mobs and depending if i have cor and brd in my party, i sold my HQ long time ago when i got an adaberk for war.

Even if you think haub is better than hachiman for ws its a minute difference at best, who cares? If you want to induldge youself in this "omgwth look at his ridiculous gear" shit, at least get something funny like a rdm/dnc wearing a trimmers earring or something. Making fun of ppl on FFXI for not-the-absolute-most-perfect-gear-set is about as hard as making fun of michael jackson. Work for your lawlz Faye@Ramuh... you're effort was tiresome.

I concur. Seems like this thread is moving from "lolgimp players" to "lolgood but not perfect players", and that's just not amusing to me. 8)

I knew this was jornna, figured it out last night and confronted him, he denied it after i said i figured him out and told me i needed mental help! LULZ! not only an impersonater but a liar.. we were in shell together in evengelion... he tried to pretend he was a girl so he get get more stuff or flirt with chicks who are kinky for girls or w/e! lol! we finally figured him out but let him stay in shell. he definately likes to impersonate. anyways, Faye was the leader of that LS and jornna hates her, has been trying to spread rumors and bad shit about faye since evangelion broke. I always defended Faye in front of him and quit a shell that jornna and i both joined afterwards basically because i felt this person was sketchy. turns out i was absolutely right! watch out ramuh... Jornna may try and impersonate YOU next!

I can tell you (not even being the only one here) that 5-10m of gear sits idly on one of my characters for weeks at a time, that's no excuse, sorry. Try ENMing it?

of course, if anyone puts my ninja up here, i deserve it, and I'm with you on the money thing, but at least a Hagun CAN come from ENM.. (SH+1, Snipers+1.. Iron Ram Helm, no Hauby/okotes/emp pin b/c I was borrowing them and my drop rate is atrocious!)

Because Hagun has such a good drop rate you should count on doing enms to obtain one. ^_^ okotes/empress harpin have a way higher drop rate than fucking hagun and you don't have to wait 5 days to try your luck on drop, so I don't get what you're talking about.

So I finally decided to seek on WAR again last night...Really regretting my decision.
We had a decent set-up: WAR BRD SAM NIN MNK RDM. Only problem was, the SAM MNK and RDM were 54...so the BRD (leader) decided we should do birds. Now see, I was level 52...the NIN was 51...the BRD was 51...I tried to argue against it, and say we had people who were far too low a level to be doing birds, but the BRD wouldn't listen.
I figured, fuck, this is the first party I've been in the past month that hasn't requested I tank. I might as well give it a go.

I bought some sushi, since I knew my acc would be low on birds. And I figured that, since I'm 2 levels under where I should be, I wouldn't be doing a crapload of damage to steal hate from the SAM or MNK. I just wanted to make sure I was hitting.

We get to camp...the BRD sings march/madrigal. Okay, I figured he just wanted to see how we'd do with it, but I knew that minuet/madrigal is a much better choice of songs for our party. He continued giving us march/madrigal, even though we were having a problem killing birds quickly at all. Oh, and he was trying to pull meripo style - yes he died the first bird he tried that on. I eventually recommended that he sing minuet/madrigal, because that would help us kill a lot faster. He protested because we had a NIN tank, said marches would be better. Now, I staticed with a NIN all the way to 75...I know for a fact that minuet/madrigal is much better to help us kill the mob and keep chains than march/madrigal is. He was thinking about shadows, and that's fine, but if he's honestly worried about that he should give the NIN double mambo and the melee acc and attack.

Anyway, I figured I'd examine some people... /facepalm.

That was the BRD. He was getting resists up the ass on birds, like I figured he would be at 51, and couldn't understand why...
I know there aren't a ton of options to BRD at that level, but he had access to Nereid rings. They're fucking cheap, he should just get a pair. And..AGI+ earrings? What? Looked like he was going for a mix of evasion and MP, but honestly... don't be surprised that you're getting resisted on birds when you're 3 levels under what's recommended, and you have kinda shitty gear. Plus he should have been /WHM in this party setup.

Yes, that's almost full baron's at level 54. With no grip. No other staves. Ascetic's ring is okay, but wtf is he wearing full baron's for? And the only piece he's MISSING is feet, and he opted for AF over anything else... which is a shitty piece.
And the hat has +2 enmity on it. Why the hell would he wear it?
Oh, and he capped out at like 425 MP. At level 54. As our main healer. God damn.

The NIN was geared pretty bad...but this amused me the most from him.

OHHH, and I forgot something. The BRD was first singing march/madrigal right? Well after a while...he started singing march/paeon. I shit you not, he was singing march/paeon. I thought it was double march at first (similar colored icons okay >.>), but then my LS reminded me that the 2nd march isn't until 60. I paid more attention, and lo and behold, "Aella's Paeon effect wears off."

The mob that I was planning to DC on actually wound up killing me. So I got a raise and just /shutdown right in front of them. At that point, I didn't care if I seemed rude. The BRD had already kicked the WHM from the party because he didn't have an easy way to get to whitegate, and the SMN because a RDM started seeking. Lol. I figured he was an asshole and really wouldn't have any place to speak if I acted like one too.

51 is way to early for birds anyways, no matter what his gear was/is/could be he'd be getting resisted out the yingyang, not to say he can't use some improvements but some things just aren't going to happen D;
