51 is way to early for birds anyways, no matter what his gear was/is/could be he'd be getting resisted out the yingyang, not to say he can't use some improvements but some things just aren't going to happen D;

while i will join in a lol at the rdm, the brd isn't that badly geared if you get over that he's /nin (despise being /nin on brd. feel like i'm missing an arm without my cures to back up my healers.) melody earrings are 52, so there's really not much to wear on the ear slots if you have no use for MP. rings, he could either use nerids or pearl +1's, but since pearl+1 cost a bit more than hope rings, he may just be stumbling along till he can ding into moon rings. maybe not the best plan, but sure, it works. he's got the corsette+1, he's got the flower necklace (though i liked bird whistle more since it's got a smidge of HP over the flower for no loss in chr), he's got the noble's ribbon. bottom line is that he's just gonna get tooled on birds at 51 anyway. fact of life. he could have done a little more to mitigate it, but i wouldn't freak out over it. focus more on the rdm needing a tathlum, a grip, and something more sensable than "zomg whitebox that looks like rdm af!" i guarantee he will be sporting rdm af head to toe as soon as he can wear it. when the brd dings a couple more times, he'll have better toys to play with.

My point in posting him was, while he didn't have the greatest gear, he was more a WTF/confused player since he insisted the entire party go to birds when we were underleveled, gave us horrible songs the entire time. And then even after I told him we were too low for birds, he wonders why he's getting resisted up the ass and tries to pull meripo style for a party that couldn't handle it. Let alone a BRD that couldn't handle it.

Oh, and I was afk 4 hours just now...come back and he asked me for a party invite 3 times. I guess I wasn't enough of an asshole.

I've seen 3 haguns drop in 20 enms, i've killed ve over 40 times, and no drop. lol.

I've killed VE two times and seen 2 drops and I've done the hagun ENM well over 100 times and seen like 5 drops.

Yes, that's almost full baron's at level 54. With no grip. No other staves. Ascetic's ring is okay, but wtf is he wearing full baron's for? And the only piece he's MISSING is feet, and he opted for AF over anything else... which is a shitty piece.
And the hat has +2 enmity on it. Why the hell would he wear it?
Oh, and he capped out at like 425 MP. At level 54. As our main healer. God damn.

i would debate getting a hagun but i use it once maybe twice a week.

I can tell you (not even being the only one here) that 5-10m of gear sits idly on one of my characters for weeks at a time, that's no excuse, sorry. Try ENMing it?

of course, if anyone puts my ninja up here, i deserve it, and I'm with you on the money thing, but at least a Hagun CAN come from ENM.. (SH+1, Snipers+1.. Iron Ram Helm, no Hauby/okotes/emp pin b/c I was borrowing them and my drop rate is atrocious!)

maybe some people don't have 5-10m spare to keep up jobs they don't use? maybe said people can't log on for more than say 2 hours and would rather spend their time doing something constructive/fun instead of making their character perfect in someone else's eyes?
