Getting Gaiters and Novio have nothing to do with money. Those are items you earn by doing things for your linkshell. Has nothing to do with money or anything like that. Even if a player gets these items, most LS will not let you sell these items to get better gear.

So by your logic, a BLM who hardly comes to events, but has HQ gear, should get Novio and Gaiters over a BLM who comes to every event and does everything for his linkshell?

I never said ANYWHERE that he did not earn it, or that it should have gone to someone else. Grats to him if he did earn it (I'm doubtful, as it's not in the gear SS). My point is, getting a luxury item such as Novio is amazing for a BLM. With a Novio, you should be taking more pride in your job, and getting the applicable HQ's shows that he/she takes pride in it. If he worked so hard to get Novio, he can work hard to get enough money for the HQ's. YES, he is gimp with a Novio but no HQ's until he gets those HQ's. Me saying that he's gimp for having Novio and NQ's is equal to calling a Ridill WAR gimp because he has no Haidate, TP's in af1 feet, etc. Don't misquote me.

If he has no Novio, then that's not really gimp...it's just lazy. Very very lazy.

In what part of the world do they do day/year/month? I've seen Month/day/year in Ireland and the UK but never with year as the middle attribute. I'm sure they do somewhere and in hindsight I'm pretty dumb, I'd just like to know where they do it that way.

I have a linkshell like that currently, lol, I completely understand that. However, it doesn't take a whole lot to make money...KSNM 30s don't take long, if his LS is so big on events then surely they'd do KS99s. Spending your free time mercing EXP for people doesn't take that long too, at least not as a BLM. Yeah, it's a sucky way to make money, but it gets the job done. In fact, you could kill 2 birds with one stone and get all the seals while you're making exp for someone else!

Here's what you don't seem to get - NOVIO is a rareish item, and it's VERY high in demand. As high for a BLM or higher than Haidate is for a melee. At the moment, I think 16 people have it listed on their wishlist in my LS, and 9 of them are for #1. So expecting a Novio owner to have HQ items isn't as uncommon and ruthless as you make it seem.

Yeah, I know what you mean. lol. The good thing is, BLMs can manburn ix'drg, ix'drk and ix'mnk and its easy to get a BRD and RDM to come along cause they want those capes too.

The other jailers shouldnt be to hard to get people to help since i'm sure a lot of people want those torques.

Let me clearify, Brutala is one of those (few) persons who NEVER lotted anything, ever, just saving for the day he eventually got a D.Ring, now he have it o.O This is what he saved for and wanted for a very long time, watch him grow in other gear aswell soon enough.
