Come Visit Japan

What if you don't speak a lick of japanese, like is the area very tourist friendly? Alot of people would understand you, if you were to talk in english?

Nagoya's not a small town, but to get the most enjoyment out of any visit to Japan, it helps to either know some of the language or have a fluent guide. By yourself without any Japanese you could go shopping, order meals and get transportation...and that's about it. I think the Tokugawa Art Museum is the most English-friendly tourist attraction out there. I've been there once and it was fine.

ahahaha, seriously, that crossed my head. Out of respect, I think you should just go to a love hotel or something. There are a ton out there i'm sure.

I managed to get my own ticket for 900USD for this summer, but it was on a group flight option. The cheapest thing outside of that I could find was about $1,200. I hope my own homestay is going to be an interesting experience as well

Not any time soon, but possibly in one year, I think I'd be interested in bringing my girl over. If you're still offering this at that time, then it'd be great! I lived in Yokohama for 6 years of my life, and am dying to come back. If you could help me find a job doing AutoCAD & 3D process piping design, that'd be great! I'd even offer you a substantial finder's fee! My Japanese is pretty poor, admittedly. Kana is great, but Kanji is waruiiiiiiiiiiiii. My conversation skills are decent, but probably worse than I realize.

Annnnnnyway, if you don't know anyone in the industrial field that's looking for a designer, at least stay in touch so that in about a year's time I can come rent out your space!

I'm glad I don't live in Cali. I pay $402 a month for rent for my share of a 4bed/2bath for a fully equipped apartment, only going to be ~500 next year for 2bed/2bath.
