    Re: Red Mage Enfeebling Question

    Not really if they staff accuracy bonus is total overkill.

    But whose to say? Losing another chunk of MP from having to cast slow after Slow II resists, and then slow again might just be worth that overkill. And you're only losing 1 INT or MND from switching to staff instead of AF1 body, which technically is just as much overkill.

    And I know I keep shamelessly plugging my friend's LJ but: http://releenaseraph.livejournal.com/96020.html has more good info on the subject;

    For those numbers, I'd assume you're using AF body. Losing errant body for AF costs you 10 mnd(11 with mahatma) and gives you 15 skill. Correct me if I'm wrong, but staves give +10% magic acc on NQ and 15% on HQ. This would put a HQ staff equivalent to at least 45 skill for a loss of 11 MND on slow/paralyze >_> I always put staff on first before any skill pieces, though I only have mythic+1/nms+1 and no mistilteinn.
    Makes sense, I guess I just never thought of it that way before. I'll give HQ staves another shot at being in the spotlight for my macros instead of a last resort like they had been. :D

    I never got into much testing of the numbers but I always try to follow this rule of thumb.

    Whatever your skill is; try to have at least 1/3 of that in linked attribute. Ankh = mind, swirly thing = intelligence

    Sooo for most things say 320 enfeebling skill (rather doable) and 107 or higher stat.
    Adjust with macc/matk in leftover spots to meet the situation. After all, everything is situational

    I'd assume he meant using dchapeau over zenith crown/errant hat(+1/mahatma), which is moot anyway if you have duelists+1. I guess it's a decent choice, but if your m.acc is low enough to be better off switching gear instead of casting a second time then you can use the full benefit of the staff anyway >_>
