NIN Solo Genbu

I've been wanting to try this on RNG for a while. I know RNG can solo Zipacna if nobody is in sky to steal your mob just by going RNG/WHM and zone, dia, zone, shoot, repeat... for an hour. Not sure if it's possible to solo Olla even with movement speed on RNG, maybe Ninja?, but I might get the nerve to try it when I get back online. I'm still holding a shield for Gration solo as well, I've tanked him enough on RNG to know that it's very possible to damage him and kite as RNG. If I have any luck I'll post.

I've seen a Rng solo Ulli pop items I was pretty impressed by that. I never really figured the job had any real solo potential until then. Anything with the ability to deal ranged damage (+movement is a bonus as Kaeko shows) should be able solo a lot of stuff though really. Just whether it's worth the individual's time I guess.

I find this hard to believe, Dia 1 has a pretty piddly duration and Dia 2 costs significant MP. Zipacna has 25%(37% maybe?) movement speed and will get a hit off as you zone if you shoot, or 2 hits if you dia(excluding double attacks), hits relatively hard, and runs back fast so you can't even zone in while it's still near zone. Are you claiming to have personally done this, or do you have any proof?

If this were true, you could solo Zipcana as anything. You could probably walk and get away from it.

Zipacna is at least at 200% movement speed, there's no way he's anywhere near as slow as Mazurka.

I meant 25-37 bonus(as in 125-137%).. and I'm positive it's no more than 150 because when I solo it if bind breaks early I can stay ahead for 20-25 seconds for recast with cuisses(standing at my usual 30' distance after bind). How often do you hear people talk about having 112% movement as opposed to 12%?

I wasn't commenting on your terminology. I thought that would have been clear based on the fact that I compared your suggestion to Mazurka, which is actually 125%.

For the sake of nitpicking, though, I've never heard anyone saying "So and so has 12% movement speed", only that they have +12% movement speed.

You'll have np with Gration on RNG. It is o so easy but o so fucking boring.

Ya, RNG has soloed Gration before, and a lot easier than NIN. Go for it. But, um, Zip not very realistic with dia.
