Assassin's Creed & 1360x768

I'm trying to get this game to run on my tv's native resolution (1360x768) but it wont budge.

I understand the game is a port from ps3 and such but there is an option for 1360x768 but whenever I choose it it looks significantly more pixelated then 1280x720 (720p). It looks almost as bad as 640x480. 1600x900 looks okay...but I lose a bit more fps and it overscans a little.

running sli 8800gts via dvi to hdmi
xp 32bit

edit: okay the pictures don't really do justice but you can definitely tell the quality goes down hill.

It's made for 720p, you should run it at that.
