is there certain settings I should be using on the peer-to-peer downloads?

I just keep seing "Downloading from Client 0 0.00000kbp/s" for over a hour before I cancel it.

I set my PS3 on DMZ mode on the firewall and it connected all right, was too lazy to configure specific ports and shit.

Alright I have a question.. wondering if anybody else has this problem.

I go to equip a grenade, and when I try to throw it my guy just does CQC. I am pressing pretty much everything on my controller and I still get nothing. Other than that I figured out how to get into 1st person when aiming to target peoples legs when they throw up that riot shield. Thats actually been helping me out a lot.

lol, I left my PS3 on overnight .... and I awake to the patch fully completed!

Was so happy once the patch installed, got ready to sit down to play..... only to find out that was patch 1.01 ..... downloading patch 1.02 now :ashira:

Fairly pleased with the gameplay and more over the game selection. Reminds me alot of socom's system and I like that.

Never was a run and gun. Its fairly slow, but it doesn't feel it, if you understand what I mean. The mechanics make it so it slows down.

Most sources I've been hearing about it's a contest vs CQC(around corners) and easy headshots with the assault rifles. This is somewhat early on though.

Run and gun has worked well for me. As for CQC it's something I only bother with if I can see their stamina is low or they haven't spotted me and I want to conserve ammo.

Do you guys use a lot of SOP?

Apparently you do that Liquid Ocelot's "ACTIVATE IT" thing from the trailer with something you can buy and it'll make the other team do nothing but go crazy and shit.

I try to use SOP when i remember... and it is funny when you manage to use the Scanner correctly (CQC + inject them with the Scanner) which will give your team their SOP information. Usually the other team will try to kill off their own teammate that has been injected... but it doesn't help since that doesn't break the link. When you get injected, EVERYONE that that person is linked to is visible so killing the 'operator' doesn't do much.

The "ACTIVATE IT" thing you are talking about... i think that is the SOP Destab that you can buy with enough points some times? I have only ever seen it come up in Base Matches. I know that you can buy it during the match (and it will show in chat when you or a teammate does) and then you plant it at the other teams Spawn to fook up their SOP. I haven't seen it happen, but the one match i was in when a teammate got one... he had NO clue what to do with it. =P

I like the game a lot, but i can't play it for too long without getting frustrated =P Only two maps =( and i tend to hate Blood Bath since it just seems like a ... well... blood bath. I prefer Grozny since you can move around a bit more stealthily.

MGO gets new map and mode via update

The European beta of Metal Gerar Online has has been updated. The update includes a new mid-sized map called Midtown Maelstrom. Also included is a new gameplay mode called "sneaking Mission" in which one player can play as Snake.

As for the new gameplay mode, we expect the Sneaking Mission to be incredibly popular for the sole reason that Snake is a playable character. One player takes on his role, complete with OctoCamo, Solid Eye and other handy items (how does he carry so much stuff while sneaking around?). The aim is to move silently around the map trying to collect dog tags by defeating other players. If more than ten people are playing then another player takes the role of Metal Gear Mk II in order to help out Snake. Meanwhile two teams battle it out as usual.

Any EU Beta players have any info?
