    Video issues w/XBOX360 via HDMI

I've had my xbox360 elite hooked up to my 40" Samsung LCD TV (model LN-T4061F, I believe) via HDMI for a few months now, with the output set to 1080p on the xbox, and have randomly been experiencing trouble with the video signal since day one. A couple of different things are happening, seemingly at completely random times:

    1. Entire image changes to "greenscale" for a split second, and then returns to normal. By greenscale, I mean that all the colors of the image turn to green. I can still see outlines of everything, but it's all in green. It returns to normal very quickly though, literally in the blink of an eye.

    2. The video signal gets lost completely for a second or two, then automatically returns.

    3. The video signal gets lost completely, and does not return until I turn the TV off and back on again. Going from memory, I think the message on the TV states "Not Supported Mode." When I turn the TV back on, I can sometimes see an xbox360 message onscreen (just like the ones that display when you unlock an achievement) that states, "Secure HDCP Link Restored."

Of the three, it seems that the greenscale thing is the most common, and I usually experience at least 1 of them per hour, if not more. The third one is the most alarming to me though, and leads me to believe that the problem lies with the TV, since turning it off/on causes the signal to be restored without touching the xbox.

This behavior occurs with only the xbox, as I have other HDMI-enabled devices going into the TV that do not result in these issues. I've tried just about everything I can think of so far: connecting using different HDMI cables, using different HDMI inputs on the TV (I have 3 of them), etc. I even brought my xbox360 over to a friend's house and connected it to his Sharp LCD TV, and didn't experience any issues after a 3-hr playing session.

I don't think that the problem lies inherently with either the xbox or the TV, since they both function normally when separated. Any ideas?

Re: Video issues w/XBOX360 via HDMI

Might want to ask here http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forumdisplay.php?f=166

I remember seeing people having some issues with HDMI on earlier revisions of those TVs when I was shopping. I wound up getting the 4065, and have had no issues with my 360/HDMI, but I also got it later in the model year with a revised board.

can you try it with component? (dunno anything about 360 or if it even can use component >_>)

or apparently my sources tell me you can't do 1080p on current hardware with component...hmmm (more accurately, it's "it might do 1080p")
