Ok... so as per the other thread.. I developed this system.. it's in public beta.. it's hurting right now but it gets the job done.

Here's the todo list:

Talking back (didn't want to do it until i could really sit down and make sure the code sanitizes the input).. will use windower helper.

basically when im done, you, as the linkshell leader will create accounts for your members, who can sign in to view the chat.. right now its protected by a hash.. so if your ls members give out the link on you.. well.. anyone with that link can view it. The benefit to the future system is if you kick somebody, you can disable / delete their online account.. I'm really busy atm or i'd have done more.. but right now you got a basic system in place to view.. a modified version for mobile phones will be out in no time, i have it privately.. I welcome feedback on our forums.

the agent that you put on your machine was written in vb6... and it lacks a little error checking.. so far we've had one run time error but the person closed it before reading it.. I don't do the whole "on error resume next" because I want to find the problems/fix them.. so remember, this is beta.

When you get the link after you signup, with the agent download.. the CRC in winrar (CRC32, listed on right side) is 477682BB .. verify it.

This agent currently does NO interactions with FFXI or windower. it simply reads the text file, posts it to our website.. you can even run it on another machine and map the network drive if you wanna be afraid.. Heck, I do it that way

I'm not trying to bash Sonix because I don't really care that he lies, cheats, steals, etc to play this game. It is more or less what most everyone does now days anyways. But I will give a warning to prevent any generally ethical people that are still playing from having their accounts hi-jacked.

In other words, this guy runs the ffxi-app website, plus has written a superior packet injection bot using ffxi app's source code which is now effectivley claiming 100% of NMs.

So again I say, to prevent hi-jacking of accounts via LS website/forums. Warning: Use ANYTHING coded by Sonix without public source code available(and thorough examination of such) at your OWN RISK.

Thanks for the warning tim, and I agree.. anything you run by anybody could be dangerous. I encourage full scanning of my application. I'll provide the source code, to the agent, to qualified official people at this board only who agree not to disclose it. I'm not in the open source market, sorry. Furthermore as stated, feel free to run this agent on a machine that doesn't even have FFXI installed, because it can work off a mapped drive.

And to clarify, I do host ffxi-app.com, and I do own sprynex. I am a business man first, gamer second. I actually talk to the owner of app reguarly, he's a nice guy and a good person.. just because most people don't agree with app doesn't make HIM a bad person. Blame the people using it more then you blame the creator.

Edit: I did NOT write the packet injection bot, nor did the packet bot come from app's source code. Get your facts straight. I actually have no working knowledge of how to officially hack games, memlocs and such have never been my area, for I have never had a need.. I'm an application server/client developer, mostly for business applications.. sometimes for little fun projects like this.

That one allowed people to talk to the linkshell through a mule as well.

but the code for that was scrapped a long time ago because I hated running a mule for this lol

matter of preference i suppose, I don't like how that looks at all.. very blah html basic.. I made mine mimic ls chat with colors and bg image.. talking back isn't hard, I just haven't made it public because i want to make sure the user input gets sanitized.. There's a good chance if I had access to his i could get the character banned or flag for sending bad characters.. I want to make sure mine doesn't do it.

Wow, I like that a lot. Especially how it shows everyone on LS, and the job they're on/zone they're in.

It ran on templates and I tried to fit it into the website, everything could have been changed in 1min lol. It was made in late 2005 or early 2006, before Ajax was a big deal.

After I am done with my current job, I think I might recode it and put it back on our website because a lot of members wanted it back after the post you made

Got a question, sort of.. To do the list of people in linkshell. there's no way to do that "legally" per say.. you need to do memory reading to get that information ?

Search info can be found at FFXiMain.dll+0x1A9570, load that address, get the 32 bit address from that value, add 0x20 to it, and get what is at that address, then add 0x40 to it and you are at the start of the search window text for the names. First name should be 0x8 from that address. Based on that the memory appears to be:
0x00 Name -> Null terminated
0x10 Zone
0x12 Sandy, Bastok, Windy
0x14 Main Job, 01-Warrior
0x16 Sub Job, 01-Warrior
0x18 Main Job Lvl
0x1A Sub Job Lvl
0x1C Race/Gender (01 - HM, 02 - HF, 03 - EM, 04 - EF, 05 - TM, 06 - TF, 07 - Mithra
0x25 Rank
0x2C Comment, 0x00 = no, others = ???

You can fill in the rest. This should work for all, but I only spent about 15-20 minutes digging into it. This memory is only full when you do a /search, since it is the text displayed in the search 'window' onscreen. This information, ymmv, some more digging might be required.

I think I stated earlier that I don't have experience doing the memloc things so if you are trying to insult me you fail pretty hard.. not surprising. I am infact more then capable of learning, but as I stated earlier it's not my interest for this program. I can care less if people don't want to use it.. I went out of my way to code something for the community that is functional and works safely, and if you don't like it, walk away.. Only a 13 year old is going to come here and insult somebody who is taking time out of their day to help others.
