So that's what all those damn posters are for lol... I was wondering.
I enjoyed it very much.
funny movie indeed, i wonder if that photo was mila kunis for real tho... cuz god damn she's ridiculously hot ;x. of course not as funny as superbad but still up to par, and yea... too much cock imo.
i'd start another holocaust to get with mila kunis
Been looking forward for it for weeks, then ended up getting drunk instead of seeing it. So seeing Harold and Kumar and Sarah Marshall this weekend.
PS: who's looking forward to some pineapple express
That wasn't his penis; supposedly it's a running joke with those dudes to put a CG cock somewhere.
Also, was the Dracula Rock Opera an "Undeclared" reference?
Brilliant. He's the Ben Stiller of directing/producing/"writing."Originally Posted by Creeps
Although, I still liked Superbad & 40 Year Old Virgin. I think credit there goes to Steve Carrell & Michael Cera more.

That was hilarious. When he did the "movie poster tutorial" I almost died, too true.Originally Posted by Creeps

It has some funny moments for sure. The 4 or 5 flashes of that dude's cock I really, really could do without - hint to the director, audience groan =! laughter.
The interesting thing is how...either not-one-dimensional...or poorly characterized the characters are. I still haven't decided which. The bad guys have good qualities, the terrible bitch turns out to not be quite so bad...kinda, the hero protagonist might be a douche who deserved what he got, etc. etc. These things definitely made it a more interesting movie, but at the same time a less enjoyable "romantic comedy".
I do know one thing though - this was terrible filmmaking. Scenes are slapped together seemingly randomly, the transitions between them are abrupt and jarring, major plot points (Sarah Marshall is in Hawaii too!) are lazily, nonchalantly introduced, and so on.
It was about as uneven a comedy that I've ever liked, both in good and bad ways, but I did enjoy it.
yeah but you also don't find out those "interesting" things about the characters until about 85% of the movie is already done, and a couple of those things are force-fed to us in a single scene. i will say though that i enjoyed the movie, thought it was funny. especially that guy who was screaming "where's the clitoris?!" the whole time and knew nothing about sex.
Well, Sarah being in Hawaii is obvious and not just from the advertising. When he comes up with the idea he comes up with it saying "Sarah always wanted to go to Hawaii." Sprinkle Movie Magic Dust(tm) and there is 0 chance of her not being there anyways. It was kind of a sign that he didn't want to get over her, using her idea of a 'get away spot' to get away from his life and forget her.Originally Posted by archibaldcrane
In any case, I found it hilarious. The editing was a bit jarring but I still laughed a lot so I really didn't care. I loved the rock star guy.
The rock star dude was my favorite character. Didn't like him at first but he grew on me. "Inside of You" was catchy.
So, is this movie at the bottom tier of Apatow films (ignoring Drillbit Taylor)?
Anyone who says this movie wasn't anything short of hilarious has lost their mind. The random cock moments were HILARIOUS, its too bad people here will know about it ahead of time. The audience was laughing pretty much the whole time when I saw it. Definitely better than 40 year old virgin, gotta see superbad again before i make that comparison. But this was great. Very great.
cock flashes had my theater lolling fo sho.

I'm gonna say yes, only because I have seen 40 year old virgin 2-3 times a while back and remember liking this one more. One of my fav parts of 40 year old virgin was the female boss, the one from best in show. Very funny.Originally Posted by archibaldcrane
IMO the "you know how I know you're gay" scene in T40YOV was funnier than the entirety of FSM, and I liked FSM.Originally Posted by Andarvi
