What ever happened to the awesome event they had shortly after I started? It was the one where they first introduced the "Lord's Yukata" etc. You know, you get set at level 1 and transported to a high level dungeon (Ifrit's Cauldron, etc.) and both had to run around and find ??? marks. It was awesome. Do they still have it and I just happened to miss it the past couple of years?

I enjoy this event for the sole reason that i can dress up in my full sam af2 and run around in low level zones messing with people.

This reminds back when FFXI was still brand new in NA and not many knew about Beastmaster, (one of the first jobs I decided to unlock) and other players always thought my charmed pet was aggro....So they'd follow after me trying to voke/kill it.

I soon took advantage of that and began messing with people. You'd be surprised how many actually did fall for it... Some guy even thought I was "hacking" mobs to follow me.....

People are silly. - Anyway, I hope they changed up this year's sword model or something...

They did it once again... but only crappy zones. The reason why the even was so awesome at that time is because Rise of Zilart was still pretty fresh to NA and EU importers, so they had the event hit up those areas. I seriously doubt they'll do that exact event ever again.

Yes, this was the best event ever and the HQ enmity sash wasnt that bad of a reward for an event.

The event where they send you to a random dungeon as a level 1 isnt too bad either.

RMT took advantage of this to mine Ifrit's Cauldron, back when it was worthwhile.
A lot of people made a LOT of money on this, so SE ditched it.

Fixed. They ruin a lot of things for players in order to screw the RMT.

I didnt play when twinkling treants was out (i started the next month, boo) but ive heard so much praise about that event from everyone around when it was 'new' that its a shame they never brought it back.

I freaking loved that event, if just for getting pwned and being raised for the first time while trying to raise my friends with revival roots.

Same could be said for the Easter Egg event too, though, I usually make a few hundred thousand gil on that event every year from lazy people who don't want to bother trying to make a trade. Yet they still keep that one around.

Since they love to repeat seasonal events, why the shit can't they repeat the Twinkling Treants attack? That was hands-down the funnest thing they've ever done.

Perhaps a delivery box'd gift to all players server-wide for any servers that succeed defeating all of them if they don't have a gift to implement like the outpost-warp.
