In any case, my opinion is if an LS doesn't need the Black Belt item for any of its members, just give the item to a MNK that is nicely asking for it. The fact that they're even spending time in a HNM pop area (and not spamming tells to LS leaders) would show some initiative on their part. Of course I say this because I'm poor and other than KS99s, I'm just dreaming of getting my Black Belt...

I also made the mistakes of leaving my XP pt right when I hit 70 to go get my belt, and I wasn't able to get it.

And I screamed on Vent in LS chat so much that night. Ugh.

100k per item is a steal, seriously. But camping out with a linkshell, and going after initial adds from pull with 2hr is not only a good way to get them to help you out (item), it's a good way to possibly get into the linkshell in general.

I'm angry I'm not in that situation. I've been wanting BB for ... over a year. Out-of-game commitments have made it fairly unobtainable for me by usual means (joining a linkshell and getting dorps)... so I'd consider 100k a very good steal, and I'd pay 100k in a heartbeat for a BB item.

I know some friends who have paid almost 3 Million Gil for just the egg alone, so 100k is super cheap and you are lucky as hell to get it at that price.

I consider myself fortunate that my LS (Frenzy) was able to get me all 3 pieces for free. Even though I got it for free, I definitely feel that spending money on it isn't anything to be ashamed of, nor is it cheap/wrong. It's just like buying any other piece of gear.

By that stupid logic of the OP's friend, should you actually farm all your ores and craft them yourself for Salvage bodies? No? I didn't think so. And if he says "Yes", he's an idiot.

D body, D Legs, 3/3 BB, mnk was level 11. and my highest melee job STILL is 60 (brd/whm 75, 60 nin, 50 war).

Also obtained free lot

3/3 BB when my MNK was lvl 18.

Dinged into Dalmatica on RDM. Got chapeau, wlegs, and wbody within a month of dinging 75.

Dinged into Ridill on WAR.

I got 2 of my BB items at MNK10 and bought the third, but I spent the next 2 months leveling MNK so I could turn them in. You're just a moron if you let them sit in mog, period. You're not cool, you're not funny, you're just a moron.
