I don't understand how this is news worthy and the topic subject is horribly misleading.

The threat of nuclear retaliation as a response to a nuclear attack on us or our allies has been our policy since their invention. Are some people just realizing that when shit hits the fan, it might really hit the fan? And I guarantee you that if things really went to pieces, if two countries outside the United States actually started a nuclear war, people would be BEGGING the United States to step in.

Israel is a nation that you do not want to fuck with. They have their own means of dealing with a possible attack (even nuclear). But the US nuking Iran as a response to them attacking Israel is a retaliation, not just doing so because she feels like it. I doubt Iran would nuke Israel anyways as it is also part of their Holy land, and I doubt they would want to destroy it.

And the only way any man, short of being irretrievably stupid, to still misunderstand what she's saying is to not understand the context of what she's saying. There's nothing in her statement that contradicts what has to be at least 50 years of American foreign policy when it comes to a response of military force when our allies are attacked. Nobody is electable to the presidential office who's willing to answer the question of 'will the United States retaliate if Israel is nuked' differently than she did.

I don't think any of you get what I'[m trying to say, or where I stand on the issue of nuclear proliferation. So I'll say it again - NO ONE should use OR threaten to use them, NO ONE should create more, and what bombs are already made SHOULD BE DISMANTLED. From where I stand, ANYTHING AND ANYONE going beyond this is making the situation WORSE.
