Yeah, I'm going to agree with everyone that killing the helpers doesn't make a difference as to how many times Ix'DRK will RR. One time for me the pets weren't killed and it didn't even reraise. I just wonder if there is anything that determines how many times it'll reraise.

Slightly off-topic from the OP but it's a question about Ix'DRK. Does anyone know if its possible to pop him by dragging an aern into the ??? room and killing it? Or can the message only be obtained by killing the 3 aerns in the ??? room?

as far as I know the answer is no. only the 3 in the room

is it possible to kill Aerns in other rooms (where the ??? can spawm) w/o the ??? and get the message? then go find the ???. or do u HAVE to kill the Aerns in the room with the ??? at the position its up?

I know you can pop it in another room if it despawn after getting the message, but I dont know if you can get the message from another room.

I think it's a common misconception that Aerns in rooms without the ??? can and will have a chance on giving somebody Animosity. I've never had it happen in 40+ tries, though as the person above me said if you get it in the room with the ??? and it depops, you can pop the NM in the new ??? room. You can get Animosity only from the Aerns in the ??? rooms, unless someone can prove that wrong with screenies. I've seen a lot of LS's try to pull Aern (plural I assume) from the other side of the map getting Animosity to no avail.

its pretty much random. Last week we never got it within the first 2 hours, yesterday i got it twice on 2nd kill.

i've seen between 20 minutes to get it, and 9+ hours to fall asleep without ever getting it. all you can do is kill the aerns =/

I only do this if it pops on the south side though, what I do is I go to the elevataor and enter, this makes ix'aern lose hate entirely on me,he walks back really slowly depending on where you took him he'll start pathing back.

Same thing , requires a tad more effort, offers absolutely no advantage over doing it in the square rooms, just an alternate area to fight.

Doing lowman fortitudes lately in this fight area with blm/nins, I realized that you could easily nuke and zone through the elevator. You can do fine without zoning, but this should speed things up a little if you have multiple blms.

I usually go with 4-5 BLM and we time GA the Aerns. Every time (around 8-10 times) we got sheer animosity (from our memory) was when all 3 reraised.
