Alright bg here's the thing : my grandmother has a garden in the back of her home and her neighbor behind her has a natural fence (idk what you call it in english, but it's basically a barrier of small trees that acts like a fence) that is dying and well, fuckin ugly. She tried to ask the other old lady to trim it for winter so it would grow back more solid and healthy but she was a bitch and said it was her fence and she'd do whatever the fuck she'd want with it.

Her trees are on the edge of her property so we can't cut them down without her approval and honestly, it just fucks up the whole view of my grandma's garden (it's awesome at the beginning of summer when all the flowers are blooming). So I was talking with her and I was getting pissed off because the neighbor's son is a lawyer, and a huge asshole at that, and he keeps threatening my grandmother to sue her if he sees her cutting down one branch of his mother's trees.

Her argument for keeping them is that it's for her privacy(the trees have no leafs left so its basically just branches of wood and we see as much as we would without her fuckin trees), but my grandma offered her to pay for another fence with her own money, one that would actually be, well, pretty.

So I need a way to kill off those trees. They are infested with insects but the roots are still alive so they are still growing. The insects are also fucking up my grandma's garden so it's not only for the aesthetics that I'm doing this. I want either the branches to fall off or that the tree gets all dry and is easy to break (like with wind). I was thinking of putting bleach in a seringue(sp) and injecting it into the roots but I think it'll take regular doses of it to fuck up the tree. Just putting bleach on the trees is out of the question, because the trees are higher than my grandma's flowers so it would fuck up her garden more than the bugs.

Gasoline has always done a fine job of killing living things. Diesel may be more effective.

My suggestion would be to get a surveyor to clearly identify the property boundries. Then, contract a company to install a fence within 4 inches of the boundry, preferably a type of fence that is solid (the wooden-slat type). In order to install the fence, they'll need to clear all obstructions that are over your grandmother's property. Read: Legally chop off a good portion of the overhanging branches. They are not required to do any type of maintenance, etc. (ie, tarring) the branches they cut. This will help contribute very quickly to the death of the trees, block the horrid looking view you have, and seriously aggravate the neighbor. Another thing to do is to use a lattice-work fence:

You then plant something like honeysuckle, or another leafy, pretty vine, and let it grow completely over the fence. You'll have amazing privacy and a beautiful view year round (when the vines die off in the winter, they form a really neat "wall" all woven together). The vine/honeysuckle would also prevent insects from reaching the flower garden while being robust enough to live through the onslaught.

Sometimes there's revenge better than sabotage...but not very often.

Import some weed from another country and plant it just on your side of the boundary. Watch it take over and starve out her trees like wildfire.

What type of plant? Depending on what, you can bring in insects that can kill it, and nothing else surrounding it. That would be a way to do it without fingers being pointed at you. Another way without getting caught is spraying some industrial weed killer (the type that can kill trees/shrubs), and you could say you 'missed' when sprying the garden to kill bugs. Another way that will kind of go undected is to go around and kill all of the roots but cutting them.

If you dont care if she can see that it was done purposefully, gasoline does work, but the smell can give it away, and you need a lot to do it. You can also use a drill and drill holes in it. You can also girdle a tree, which is basiclly remove the bark at the bottom, and also a little of the inside of it too.

Ofcourse all of these work fairly slow, but if it's a hot summer, itll go a bit faster.

If you want faster, do as suggested and get the area survayed just to see if that back part could be yours and not the other old ladies. Wont have to do the whole fence thing if it becomes your property. If it comes to it, you can even make a legal matter out of it, say their not maintained properly, and is bringing down the value of the house, and you want them cut down.

Just depends what you want to sacrifice, methods may take time, money, or being caught. If you just dont care, just tear the shit down in the middle of the night.

I wouldn't recommend using any kind of gasoline/solvent. It takes a long ass time to clean-up the contaminated soil and you could get into legal troubles with your city (Obviously someone has to test the soil for contamination, but if you got a douche-bag lawyer on your back I guarantee he will hire someone if they find out it was sabotage!)
