The Receiving End of Sirens rocks and its their last show seeing as their lead singer is leaving the band to pursue being a father.

    It's not a hardcore festival...?

That being said, the lineup looks terrible, I wouldn't go if it was free, but really, who goes to a thread about a pop-punk / mainstream music festival and complains that there's not enough madball?

    Re: The Bamboozle?

Mighty Mighty Bosstones and the Bouncing Souls, woo. Snoop Dogg as the "token rapper"? Upon cursory examination it seems that the wittiest and most profound thing that some of these bands have ever written is their name. Asides from the few bands like Coheed, who I'd heard weren't all that good live anyway, and the bunch of 1990s punk remnants, this thing's overwhelmingly bland lineup gives me a newfound appreciation for European music festivals. They aren't that bad after all!

Coheed and Cambria are very good live, I've seen em like 3 times opening for other bands or at festivals.

I acually really dig this lineup, its the bulk of whos doing warped tour just all together.
I'd suggest anyone thats going to check out 3OH!3 they're colorado locals that are getting really big, always put on an amazing show.

Other then that, cobra gym class academy and coheed are reason enough for me to go

I'd go, but only for The Fall of Troy and Coheed and Cambria.

This news makes me . I've been a fan of TREOS since Ben was the lead singer. I haven't really dug all the changes they've made in their music, but they've always put out really good music. I remember when I first listened to their full length (can't think of the name right now...) all I could think of was how epic it sounded.

On topic, if it were close I'd go see it, but as it stands no way in hell. Only about half the bands I've even heard of, and most of them are bands that when I listen to the CD I think 'I bet they suck live'

Good luck to them, I'm a friend of the wife's family, I've known her for years, her two younger sisters are EXTREMELY fucked up, both are pregnant right now at the same time, one is 17 one is 22.

It's a shitty situation he signed up for, but between all that shit and wanting to have a baby with steph I'd be leaving too.

Edit: My wife knows more about the situation than I do, she was actually at their wedding and is much closer to them all, but yeah, irregardless it's a fucked up situation.

    what sath said....

with all of the things going on with steph's family at the moment and with the new addition to their family, i think it's the right choice for them.

on another note, i'm interested to see the progression of nate's music

    Re: The Bamboozle?

There are a couple bands I'd like to go see that I probably won't get a chance at for a good while. Just don't think I could handle Snoop Dogg headlining the first night.

Can someone tell me what's going on in the youtube link? Network administrator blocked youtube at school now

    Re: The Bamboozle?

Most of it is meh for me.

Gym Class is coming to my school on Saturday for a show. Circa, Coheed, Scary Kids, and just a few more is all I would see. Not worth it.

theres a tour with tera melos the fall of troy the dear hunter and foxy shazam coming like the week before or after or w/e
    circa surive is cool
    fuck the rest of those
i remember when i went to this shit back in the day
and it was in asbury park
and you traveled to different bars and shit in town for the different stages
now its a big parking lot
    and its hot
    and you will get sunburned
my skin took so much damage during fall of troy 2 years ago
    fuck
    also
its filled with stupid scene kids and hollister kids
    hollister kids just fail
and scene kids think that 3 power chords and a shitty breakdown = good music
    also they need haircuts
idk where im going with this post so im going to stfu
but seriously this isnt worth the price at all
maybe if they were like "SURPRISE! TSOAF IS GONNA PLAY!" that could be cool
    but no.

new kayo dot album is pretty good
    download that shit

    Re: The Bamboozle?

I agree with Lavik except that he thinks all music needs to be super complex apparently.

    Also your damage sucks.

like circa surive isnt complex; but its great stuff

i do apologize for always posting like a pretentious dick
    i assure you im not

    ill be more positive

    Re: The Bamboozle?

It just irks me when people knock on power chord songs like it's never been done before or doesn't sound good. I'm not saying it all does or should be the only way music is written, but just bothers me. Also I'm not scene or whatever kids are these days.

    Re: The Bamboozle?

yeah like nirvana is a lot of power chords
but its a lot of great music

but those scene kids, man i tell ya
they infest this area (mall, shows, coffee shops etc)
and act really tough and have ruin every show with obnoxious "dancing" (the swing your arms in circles while two-stepping thing)
    but its like

    Dude, seriously.
Your pants are tighter then your girlfriends, and you spend an hour a day doing your hair with your 10 year old sister's straightener.
    You're not tough, man.

    but lets talk about music
its not like everything they listen to sucks
#12 is from here in NJ; scene kids and I are quite proud of them.
    but like
Norma Jean is a band with absolutely nothing going for them.
that stuff is just bad in all aspects
if these kids spent less time straightening hair
and moar time working on guitar practicing
    we might be getting somewhere

i think this is some sort of jealously thing
the rest of the country gets coachella, sxsw, bonnaroo, lollapalooza etc
    we get the bamboozle
(what is this all points west thing in the works? this could be good)
and theres an ATP curated by MBV that was announced to be in NY which is cool; but its ~450/person so orz

also i saw MSI is playing the first day; i missed that
i love those guys, its not complicated music, but its original

    disclaimer:
my pants are too tight too
    im not tough
    im really skinny
most scene kids could beat me up
most hollister kids could beat me up
most girls could beat me up
you reading this can beat me up
