    +% Accuracy Bonus - How is it calculated?

    I'm talking of course about Sushi, while there are some sushis which have a cap, most supposedly do have not. I was wondering how exactely this % of accuracy they add is calculated, for a simple purpose.
    Sometimes on some jobs you know that adding just +10 acc from a few slots is not going to be enough to grant you a satisfying (with "level of satisfaction" probably changing from player to player, I guess up to a certain degree it's a personal thing) level of accuracy for the mobs you are fighting.
    Yet, at the same time, you think that Sushi would add more than you need, and sacrify your damage too much (for example because in some gear slots you have no valid "alternative" to those pieces with +acc, and hence you would be forced to keep them equipped, even after using Sushi when you, supposedly, don't need them anymore that bad).

    For these reasons I wanted to know how to calculate the raw amount of +accuracy a piece of Sushi can give, just to get an idea of how much accuracy that Sushi is goin' to give me, compared to the amount I can get from gear.


    I suppose that % is calculated on your "base" accuracy? So most likely the one from your weapon skill (including merits and +weaponskill from gear?) plus your base dex * 0.5/0.75 according to the kind of weapon you are using, 1 hand or 2 hand.
    What else? Does Sushi % bonus apply also to the various +dex, +acc and "increase acc" bonuses? Or just to the base ones as I supposed?

    Sushi adds to your total accuracy nothing more and nothing less . . .

    E.g. it is modified after skill, stats and raw acc has been taken into consideration.

    All percentage bonuses are calculated last.

    Why do you want to know the exact amounts?

    I'd love to see SE display all stats and give us a spell/ability like scan or libra (even if it didn't work on HNMs.)

    That will give you the exact amount of acc you'd get after you put in all your stats. (i.e. DEX, level, gear, choice of food.)

    What about something like Mantra? Is it calculated after or before food, or is it just seperate, and doesn't affect eachother?
    Been wondering about that for a while, haven't been able to test it though.

    Not the "exact", rather the approximate.
    Why? Well... I know it's stupid but there are several reasons. To do my own calculations I could say.
    For those situations when for example my accuracy isn't satisfying enough without sushi, but it's even too much with sushi.
    Or for when I want to use other kinds of food (or no food at all) and I want to "compare" how much +acc gear I would need to get the same results I get with sushi.
    Stuff like that, I wanted to have a rough amount to be able to understand the real impact of sushi.
    I'm talking mainly for my PUP, I usually wiff a lot if I don't eat sushi. Sometimes I wiff even WITH sushi actually.

    That's not goin' to happen sadly, not the approach they chose for FFXI, and it shows in every little thing.
    Missing or useless descriptions for example? Not to count you can't see the real skill level (the decimals), or many other skills which are hidden and not showing. You can't see Evasion, Accuracy, Ranged Accuracy, Magic Defense... nothing. And won't change sadly. Could say the same about PET info on screen, or TP and MP for party/alliance.
    I really hope they will change approach for their next game.
    Having people to sort out things is good, up to a certain degree... FFXI brings it way over the limit imho.

    I don't know exactely, but I noticed with gear and food that the % of return I get, is lower than the one you'd expect, so probably the +% HP bonus doesn't take into consideration something. No clue on what it is.
    I bet it's the same for Mantra, which adds +% just like food, items or stuff like Body Boost etc.
