I really hope the missions aren't as piss simple as ToaU. New merits, hmmmm. I'm hopeful the tweaking they talk about won't be whipping out the nerf stick, but I guess I'm most interested in sch and dnc merits!

If the board consistently used the Euro format, then I'd say we should all use it! But, since the beginning of time we've been doing it MM/DD/YYYY, why would you do it any different just because the ISO said so? Last I checked the ISO doesn't regulate BG posting formats haha.

(I'm super-glad I can still actually make use of every piece of DNC AF, including AF1, at 75. Before you ask, macro the legs in for waltzes.)

Full Usu, i'm going to guess it's weapons being added to salvage. Unless SE suddenly decided to just stop using full AF for random pictures.

They may surprise all of us and make it a new weapon type entirely. A sickle or aforementioned kama type, available to NINs or mayhaps even DRKs. Our Ace's Helms could use some of that sweet 1-handed lovin...

it'd be sorta weird if they did that. If any job would get a new weapon type, don't you think it would be one of the five newer jobs? (SCH, PUP, BLU, COR, DNC)

looking specifically at PUP and COR who just got rather mediocre versions of already established weapons

From Wikipedia - the Ninja weapon par exellence:

“The Kusari gama is a traditional Japanese weapon that consists of kama (the Japanese equivalent of a sickle) on a metal chain with a heavy iron weight at the end… Attacking with the weapon usually entailed swinging the weighted chain in a large circle over one’s head, and then whipping it forward to entangle an opponent’s spear, sword, or other weapon, or immobilizing his arms or legs. This allows the kusari-gama user to easily rush forward and strike with the sickle…”

I wouldn't be surprised this is used for boosting parry proc rate, because it sounds like a defensive weapon or some sort. But, Sai type of katana fails as a defensive weapon.

Below is the video showing how NIN would own others in Ballista with Kama, as you can see NIN > SAM in the video

    Early June Update;

    Battle-Related
    - SAM will now be able to perform the skillchain "Cosmic Elucidation" which will give SAM a temporary additional effect of Berserk, Utsusemi, and Haste.
    - Raise III, Cure V, Hastega, and Refreshga, have been added to SCH under Light Arts.
    - BLM has been given a B skill rating in Scythe to help attract party play.
    - RDM Convert ability has been stripped and given to SCH.
    - PLD job ability "Invincible" will now block magical damage as well.

To help maintain job balance the development team has decided to delete every other job except BST and PUP.

The EU way is more sensible anyway. Date > Month > Year : smallest to largest. Why mix them up in the silly US way? Makes no logical sense. You drive on the wrong side of the road too. And you can't make a decent cup of tea to save your lives. Oh yeah... here in the UK we hate France more than you do, no matter what you might think.

    PS. I love you Izzy
Because it's not like there's 31 days in some months and only 12 months. Yes. 31 is indeed less than 12. The current date? 24/4/2008. You can clearly see that 24 is infact smaller than 4.

I swear to fucking god if this wasn't a whoosh I'll kill myself
You're making americans look bad with that logic... Days are smaller units than Months because they're shorter, it has nothing to do with the amount that are in a month. For example, an inch is smaller than a foot, despite the fact that it takes 12 inches to make a foot, and only 3 feet to make a yard.

Also, saying "5th of March" is just as common as saying "March 5th" in the professional world.
Getting a bit defensive? A touch tetchy? http://www.newcelica.org/forums/imag...es/furious.gif

Always happens when people do things they know are wrong. http://www.newcelica.org/forums/imag.../thefinger.gif
    >_> I just provided perfect logic as to why #686578's logic was off, how is that considered being defensive? My last sentence was though, sure.

Also, lol Izzy. Hugh Grant's a fag. [/quote:3dpvbf7u]

I look at it this way. Any expansion the majority of the playerbase doesn't access suffers from a critical flaw.

Yes, that'd be CoP. Awesome story, beautiful missions...and most of the playerbase -still- doesn't even get through the Promys, multiple expansions later. I could understand Sea. But Lufaise Meadows?

On the other hand, you tie together the three [S] cities with the kind of storylines the last update gave us in the form of piles of quests/quest-missions, and I'll be a very happy camper. In the end, that's what makes expansions for me- feeling you're a part of the big story. Windurstian WoTG storyline, for example. Epic battles, betrayal, romance, executions, and plenty of plot twists with characters you give a damn about- which is also why CoP wins, but WoTG's been a great deal more grounded at the level of people as opposed to sailor-mouthed immortal loli, the two divine powers, and entire flights of wyrmkind.

    I hope they're hard though.
Storyline missions, they can be as they are. It means people get to see the story end to end.

Put in side missions that absolutely do not have to be done that are tougher stuff.

CoP (restrictions out the ass) 2 updates in is still kicking more ass than an 'open' (no restrictions) WoTG 2 updates in though. Bibiki Bay was the Bhaflau of its time and Uleguerand Range saw much traffic as well too, id call that bit success.

CoP may have 'failed' because people were too lazy to complete challenging content yeah, but WoTG with its 'content on a silver platter' hasnt done much better. DNC and SCH are pro and Campaign is the only thing the playerbase has mainstreamed, the tons of level 10-50 camps pretty much thrown at the fanbase have gone limp.
