As far as new missions being the core of the update, I'm guessing (and hoping) that means the Walk of Echos will finally open. I kinda doubt northlands access would be limited to people with the right mission completion (though it's possible), so that leaves Cait Sith world. As the first WOG CS pretty blatantly implies, the entrance to the zone will be the Maws, meaning my dream of entering the North Gusta Maw in the present and exiting from another Maw at any time or place may finally come true (never gunna pay a fuckin dime to get to Jeuno again %D).

As much as I'm looking forward to the things they promised for MNK, I might be more interested in these merit changes. Raising the cap and/or adjusting the values could mean a lot of improvements (even though I'd have to actually merit again.)

That would make me really happy. I stopped doing campaign once my NIN hit 75. Since then I've lost 2 medals lol.

It'd be a unique way of transport to say the least, though if they actually used the Walk of Echoes as a 'base of operations' for the storyline... could they freakin' allow players to go from there to different time periods in a BCNM or two? The expansion may be set at a certain time in the timeline of vanadiel but thats no reason to not play out some of the major battles in a BCNM form - like the Garliage seige, battle of Windurst or the Bastokan naval battles. Some actual 'hands-on' vanadiel history.

... or that *slight* chance Tavnazia [S] makes the cut as a 1 zone hub for the past, fuck Jeuno [S].

I'd rather have assloads of running around (such as the CoP missions required) now that there's so many ways to warp/teleport around Vana'diel since it came out than to have these excessive "Wait 24 hours" or "Wait until Japanese Midnight" to proceed. It's easier to get people from Sacrarium to Fey'yin or something one the spot when everyone is there than have to regroup the next day and wait around for people or shout around for new members, et cetera, et cetera.
