Anyone picked it up yet, and if so thoughts, comments?

i thought the stores weren't allowed to sell it until next week... unless you went ahead and downloaded it.![]()
Monday night at midnight for where I preordered it.
Street date's next Tuesday. Rename the thread: GTA IV Pirates' Impressions.

I'll probably get it on Tuesday night as well, ordered it for overnight shipping online.. UPS only gets here at about 5pm, so yeah. =/

Not it wasn't, the website you checked probably didn't update it.
NTSC version got leaked onto the interwebz yesterday, and PAL has been out for even longer.(Xbox 360) Been playing it all day, it's fucking awesome.
I do plan on buying it, though when it's released
Fuck modding my 360, i'm done modding the main consoles heh.
Not picking mine up at the midnight release, because if I do I won't sleep... and I value sleep greatly. I already am having one set aside for me the morning of the 29th by my lovely coworkers.
if you have a job, you're done with midnight releases at brick and mortar shops for video games. I'll probably pick it up during the lunch hour on tues.
The Halo 3 pre-release taught me enough about being near large quantities of "bros" in public, so I'll wait.
lol, ever since the FF12 launch I've ordered the big titles online and overnight, paying 10 more bucks is worth it when the flipside is standing in a line of 100-200 smelly idiots dressed up like moogles.Originally Posted by Huggo
I'm still unsure if I should buy it. SA (the only one I played) really was dull and visually scarring. The visuals are a lot better and it sounds less dull but it could easily be all hype... Hype is so perverse in the 360 world![]()
My only gripe about SA were the difficulty of some of the side missions and minimissions. Things like the dancing/car jump games were boring as hell, while the 'find the courier' random missions were insanely difficult if you started one in a bad place. I also wasn't a fan of the 'gilfriend' system. Those bitches were high-maintenance. Apart from that I loved the no load times and the handling on the bikes. Flying planes was a hundred times easier in SA than the previous games. Helicopters were a bitch, however.
I have high hopes for IV, even if it is technically the sixth game (not counting the PSP titles) in the franchise.
PS3/360 video review by IGN. Game looks really good, I can't wait to play. 8)
Oh lawd, was that clothed sex I saw in there? Maybe they thought the nudity was the most controversial part of Hot Coffee? Probably was actually...
There's no nudity, but you know the media will be all over it eventually.
I managed to get a PS3 copy today. A store in town fucked up and put 5 copies out for sale early. I've done a few hours on the story mode so far and it's pretty much exactly the same as any of the other games. Hopefully it'll pick up later on. The multiplayer is pretty epic at the moment. 16-man deathmatches with explosions that can literally send you flying over a skyscraper is made of lulz. Just make sure whoever starts the match turns off the fucking cops...
