Grand Theft Auto IV Release (Okay, now it's out)

The big flaw in Ranked is the inability to party up.

It's hard finding competent players to do Coop, today I had players delibertly crashing the truck/chopper in Bomb Da Base II, or idiot nade dropping at spawn to destroy both cars.

they need to have Party up apply to Ranked

Stupid multiplayer question...Is it possibly to start a game with just your friends? Like, last week I was in Party Mode with 2-3 friends I invited then wanted to start one of the other games with them and it always put us in a new game with lots of other random people...

That one was pretty easy actually... just don't even look at the train, keep following the radar's signal. Eventually it stops and you get to go upstairs and nail him and his 2 buddies (I think he even tries to run away, so a shotgun to the face might prove useful here..)

-Maps are retarded. Especially on non-team events. They were obviously meant for single player. Why are they retarded? Because they are huge. Oh, but that might be selling point right? Not really. Every time you die, there's a chance you won't spawn in near someone. Doesn't really matter too much, since you to have any staying power you need to find guns, body armor, and health. Then you find a car and drive to some action. So it's like you spend 1-2 minutes just preparing to fight. You can skip this step and just go with your starting weapon(usually just a pistol) and no armor, but you will be at a big disadvantage.

You can customize the room to make spawn points "close." The lobby system is kinda gay, but the game isn't fun unless you're playing with people you know and have mics.

I really wish this game had some sort of replay system, like Halo. So many fantastic moments I want to share with my roommate when he's away lol

yes, but i fail HORRIBLY at driving in this game. by the time i get through the area under the overpass i get the "train has gotten away" msg >.<

At turns, press the A button as you hold the stick to whichever side you're trying to go, but only slightly pull on the stick and then let go, as soon as you start making the turn, let go of A and hold the LT button while holding the stick in the opposite direction (to even the car out so it doesn't spin too much), then press the RT button and keep driving. It took me a while to get used to it because they made the driving a LOT more difficult this time around, but I think it's more realistic. Driving in Vice City was way too easy.

Just treat the trigger like you would a real gas pedal.

Ie; You can't "floor it" during turns.

Press the trigger halfway when you want to maneuver through things.

I just got a moped and did it. It's just a bit faster then the train + easy to steer.

I enjoy the driving in GTA4, it just takes some time to get used to. I don't think any one method will work best, but these were some of the helpful tips I used to get the hang of driving and now its very easy to hit turns at a good speed while not spinning out of control.

Yeah, don't floor it constantly. Let up on the gas when you need to turn a corner and don't use the handbrake for the entire turn. A little goes "A" long way. I only use normal brake when I accidentally go too far or start to spin out of control because I'm not used tot he car I'm driving.

i tend to use the L trigger to slow down a bit first, then the e brake, which gives u a somewhat controlled power slide.

If I'm driving at high speed and want to make a turn, I let off the gas to brake, then I start to turn and apply a little e-brake to get the car to drift/spin, and I finally accelerate. With practice, you'll keep a good bit of momentum through the turns and not lose quite as much speed.

For those that hate doing missions for Manny (god knows I did, mostly because he acts exactly like someone I hate in RL), his storyline has a very satisfying conclusion. Personally I found it funnier then anything Brucie did.

message detail This is a true story of how I lost my girlfriend of 10 years to Grand Theft Auto IV.

Basically, one hot May morning (before I showered and got ready for work) I decided to play some GTA. I decided to do some missions and was getting really immensed in the story, so I called in sick from work. I had plenty of sick days saved up so it wasn't a big deal. I work with my girlfriend so she would have known, but a little white lie shouldn't hurt. After about 4 hours of gaming I had to take a poop, but decided to wait on that until Three Leaf Clover was finished.

During the missions, I was getting really excited shooting the cops while running through the streets. I yelled really loud "Where's the van!" and all of a sudden i felt a sudden bowl movement move down my pants. I decided to hold up on cleaning up until the mission was over, considering no one was at my place and I havn't showered yet.

4 Hours later....my girlfriend comes over, and of course I'm on my couch playing grandtheft auto in my pajama's. She askes me why I didn't come into work today, so I just told her I wasn't feeling too well. She comes over to me and tells me she can make me feel better. She pulls my pajama bottoms all the way down to my ankles, getting on her knees as she's getting ready for some sucky sucky. All of a sudden she yells OH MY GOD, and falls backwards hitting her head on the coffee table.

I forgot to change my pants....She runs out of the house and I havn't spoken to her since.

What should I do?!

Heh, that made me smile. For some reason I dont find that hard to believe a guy like that, the girl part however, is harder to believe because who can't notice the smell.
