Guess the store I pre-ordered it in, cannot stay open after 10 pm due to city violations..... guess they must have gotten in trouble, because they had a midnight release for SSBB lol

Not only do I have to work midnight release, my SM is out of town this week so I'm running the big show (ASM) and this is my last week before transferring across the country- last chance to make a good impression!

hey seems like a lot of that going around lol... Im headed to D.C.... a kid from FL called about my position here...

Anyways, about 200+ people showed up, sold 140ish titles. Got home around 3am (work 45-60min away) Ive been playing the game for a few hours and watching my roommate play the multiplayer at the same time. Ive been reading up on this game and what has sold me is the depth of the game. The depth of the gameplay, the map, the story, everything its pretty damn impressive.

What GTA4 does to this genre is the same thing COD4 did to shooters. Took the bar and blew it out of the water. The only thing I can see topping this or matching will be Fallout 3

I know this is a stupid question but where is the option to go to multiplayer mode? I've only done the first mission and cruised around abit, but i dont see it on the pause menu unless i'm missing something.

Its on your cell phone, use down on the d-pad, scroll down and multiplayer is an option.

So far the game seems like a lot of fun, but I'm finding that driving is a complete bitch now. Its been a while since I played any of the GTA3 games so maybe I just forgot that this was how they handled, but I can't make a sharp turn for the life of me.

i put this in my gamefly Q just for the hell of it... i've never been a big fan of the series, and i didn't think they'd ship it to me either considering you almost always get some crappy game you forgot was on there.

much to my surprise, they shipped it yesterday... o.O

so now after seeing the reviews i'm pumped - and if i decide to buy it, 45 bucks isn't bad at all for a brand new copy considering the millions who are running to the store to shell out 60 bucks as we speak.

That is how GTA driving has always been: very loose and realistic. I always opted to use the tighter handling code which made the game about 100x more enjoyable, but now with the addition of online racing modes and such I think I'll have to get used to the loose handling.

Ebrake around the corners works pretty well in past GTA's. I haven't gotten a chance to play the new one yet. I'll get into it as soon as I get home from work.
