BG WoW PServer

I know I have kept this in the RPG section but I had a suggestion to also put a topic up here since some may not read it. I am hosting a Private WoW server for BG members and their friends. Everyone is welcome really. The server is now running 2.4.1 meaning all you have to do is change your realmlist.wtf and your good to go (Provided you are already running 2.4.1). Registration is here:

And to connect go into your wow install folder open realmlist.wtf with notepad and change the 2 lines to say jeatin.ath.cx instead of the default world of warcraft urls.

Mods feel free to lock this ! Just letting the rest of bg know so if they would like they can have some fun too.

Its a high rate server so pretty much for fun. I have a normal server thats not up right now but it will be up by monday.

Haven't ran my copy in 8 months so it's likely out of date. Do I just update it to the latest via the official means then modify the realm-list file, or is there more to it than that?

[EDIT] God I hate when the auto-updater decides to give you the updater-all-ver-to-latest patch....bloody 1gb. Well, guess I'll leave that running as I'm too lazy to hunt down all the 'this version to this version' patches.

That should do it, most pservers are easy to connect to unless they have custom stuff

Yeah you can join without tbc just don't check the tbc checkbox. I can change it later.

Alright, awesome. Gonna try it again then. I've had a bit of problems in the past with private servers.

If you just want to play on the private server, you could trying finding a torrent. Paying 20$ for all the CDs would be a lot faster though

Fastest route would be to purchase one of those $1 15-day trial DVDs. Comes with all the game data you need with the exception of TBC.
