In an online match, what determines whose stage gets picked

2 questions:

What determines whose stage gets picked in an online match? I was trying to find some pattern with winner/loser, but it just seems completely random.

Also, say 1 person has items on, the other person has items off. What determines if items are on or not?

I thought it was random for both instances. Although, I did notice a pattern the other day that the winner got to choose the map... But I am sure it was just considence.

Generally it just chooses randomly between the people, yeah.

First it goes through the win/loss ratio of every player in the room. Then it goes through who has which stages unlocked or not, then it goes by a random draw of the 4 players in the room, then it just picks Final Destination.

I think my last stretch had battlefield like a good 12 times in a row, and I picked other stages every time.

Why does the cursor, upon choosing your stage preference, say "1 COIN" as if you could pay more coinage to get higher priority for stage picks? I figured there was a way to pay more to get my stage choice and I had yet to figure it out.

I believe it takes 1 coin if you choose a stage and no coins if you random. Like coins are worth a damn anyway

Good god, I have like 8k coins. My gf and I bet on matches while we eat dinner and being limited to 100 coin bets is weak as hell. 1 coin to pick a stage is going to break my wallet.

Music is based on whoever picks the level. I listened to giga bowser on final destintaion before i unlocked it ;3

Hmm, I wonder if this is always true? A few times I tested it by picking stages where I had only one song for but it constantly played the ones I had set to zero. Maybe considence that someone else picked it too... I'll have to try again later (like battlefield 2 music, it is the only one I don't necessarily like as much as the others)

It's always true, squeak squad is my favorite track on halberd but I dont have it unlocked yet, I hear it all the time when playing against naks though.

Edit: Oh, I was referring to how when I pick Spear Pillar (if ever), it would never play the Team Galactic theme, which is the only song I have set to max. I was assuming My Music doesn't work the way it should online
