Kinda late but has anyone else heard about it? Is anyone else planning on doing it? For those who don't know May 2nd (tomorrow) everyone's suppose to not buy gas. Estimated loss is 70 billon or something. Don't know if it'll do anything. I've been told it was done 2 times before and i didnt notice shit so...

I remember people tried this shit a long time ago and this was exactally what happened. They had profit boosts before and after the 'strike' making it pointless. If people wanna hrut someone over gas prices they need to coordinate not buying gas from a specific company.

I love how people rally around stupid, pointless shit like a gas strike but they can't be bothered to do things like..carpool, take public transportation, buy smaller fuel efficient cars because they take so much more effort. Those are the only things that will actually make a difference. Less demand=lower prices.

This doesn't work either, the company you're not buying gas from will just sell theirs to the company that you are buying gas from. Sadly any kind of boycott against the oil industry just has the companies going and raising prices more.
