completing ToA might also be involved... its not a stretch seeing as completing up to rank 6 is required for dynamis entry.. and then clearing beaucedine to get to xarca for the items...

it'd also match up to the idea that you're getting the opportunity to get something from the vault in reward for your efforts + something else you give (the base weapon, etc)

on another note, if nyzul weapons comes now, the rest of the unfinished ToA content probably will too... the 3 island battlefield areas connected to the stone tablets.... and possibly the 'promised' avatar from ToA... hmmm

I wonder if those weaponskills featured back when in the trailer are the weaponskills these weapons will be packing - perhaps they only used those weapon models back then to throw people off.

I'm just hoping that these are all semi-useful, IE: no claustrom or RDM weapon with Magic Atk. Bonus +20 or something outrageous. I'm hoping for some very well thought out job specific weapons, I will most likely be dissappointed. D:

Why should they be as expensive, you have to put work into getting the stage 1 - which is about a months work just to hit floor 100. Lets hope these relics take a more 'let the player work on them as they please' over 'let the player either be rich or they wont be able to afford them'

By work i mean getting items in Nyzul as upgrade components on various floors, obscure mob drops in unused parts of aht urhgan/wings of the goddess and/or imperial pieces as payment for stages.

You do know you can sponsor dynamis and not spend nearly as much, provided you bring TH4s out the ass.

Perhaps SE is trying to weave the stories of ToAU and WoTG similarly to how they did RotZ and CoP. Anything to make WotG more usable is fine with me. Cue trying to earn/recharge the Nyzul relics in the past before Balrahn can steal/acquire them.

Yeah, noticed that too, but dunno how much stock you could really put into that. It IS likely there will be WotG tie-in, but using the backgrounds as solid proof is kinda.. eh. More likely that they just had those skins available to take neat pictures with since it's the most recent areas they're doing stuff with.

You do know sponsering dynamis means 1m gil every 3 days right? Does that sound casual in any sense of the word? These relics are supposed to be 'easier' in the sense that a person could log in, do 3 hours of gameplay and actually feel like they have gone somewhere with the progress of the relic.

Dyanmis epitomizes every sense of being 'non-casual'.

You do know that most relic weapons are pointless e-peen items....much like oh idk...gun, hardly useful to an LS as a whole which is what it takes to accomplish a productive farming run sponsored or otherwise.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that these new relics will be involved in something new, not something that is already in the game. SE rarely rehashes old content when introducing new stuff. They don't like to recycle.

They recycled half the stuff used in WoTG but i do get your point... though alot of ToAU to this day still isnt used.
