They recycled half the stuff used in WoTG but i do get your point... though alot of ToAU to this day still isnt used.
Well, that unused stuff in ToAU would be the first place I would look for what might be involved. But they could also be nothing, I mean SE didn't use the green sky teleports until half way through ToAU.

Perhaps Sharug Isle, the last of Caedarvas Isles will be of some use in this new quest for the relics... along with incentive Arrapago, Halvung, Mammok trips - and monster kills in those zones.

Well, are also those three monuments, one of which is on a small island off of Wajoam.

When I first saw it I thought of the BFG9000.

Looks like the manthra in the picture is overcompensating for something.

How does this have anything to do with what I just said? I just pointed out that you could fund a relic for 2-3 years without going balls out on it and still get it done. A casual player can fund a relic, it will just take him a lot longer.

How long do Elvaans live? I get the feeling they have a much longer lifespan than humes.. say 100s of years. In fantasy, Elves are quite often immortal so I wonder how it works in FFXI.

Anyone got any info on this?

By work i mean getting items in Nyzul as upgrade components on various floors, obscure mob drops in unused parts of aht urhgan/wings of the goddess and/or imperial pieces as payment for stages.

You do know you can sponsor dynamis and not spend nearly as much, provided you bring TH4s out the ass.
You do know sponsering dynamis means 1m gil every 3 days right? Does that sound casual in any sense of the word? These relics are supposed to be 'easier' in the sense that a person could log in, do 3 hours of gameplay and actually feel like they have gone somewhere with the progress of the relic.

Dyanmis epitomizes every sense of being 'non-casual'.[/quote:3rvjin90]
Could also sell some coins to sponsor the next one and keep the profit. Obviously slows you down, but it is still a step forward if there is surplus of 1mil worth of coins.

Mages stand to gain the least. They don't even engage, other than solo. Unless they're going to depart from the dynamis relic tradition and actually put mage stats on the mage weapons.

I thought that someone had found in the zone files that were there we matching small islands (Sharug Isle being one of them) that corresponded with these monuments?

There are also 2 unused Tidal Gates in arrapago (4 total, 1 for medusa fight, 1 for the Astral Candy BC, 2 for ???), a door facing The Ashu Taliff (and when close to it you even see a new map), an unknown exit from halvung past the doors that require several people to open, probably leading to one of Mt Zhayolm small islands.

I really really hope the weapons don't khroma/imp. wootz ingots AND IS/Imperial Coins since biggest source of Khroma takes IS(ISNM) so requiring both would retarded since new demand of IS would limit the supply of khroma even further.

The effort of the many is not equal to the benefit of the one, never has been until shield and horn, I think it rather nice that it won't take an army to get these and I think the benefit more proportionate to the over all effort of the few. Beg, borrow, steal, buy or work for the currency to upgrade a relic it still takes more then one person to do it otherwise Dynamis would be a one man thing. And we haven't even begun on the "it wasn't what I thought it would be" factor.

Watchtower in Bhaflau too, near Colibri (unless its involved in some Quest that I haven't done).

Also, there's an entire fucking ZONE that SE hasn't released yet that's in the .dats, that's assault type (looks like Pankration center, with 8 smaller Whitegate-structure rooms situated around the centre room. That is the Colleseum. We have The Pit (Pankration), but not a Colleseum (the door beneath the Hostel, why do people forget about this idkkkkk).

Also, I tend to solo a bit on Smn, so weapon there may be good (Gotta be better than Bahamut's staff tho, so g'dluck with that SE).
