This makes a nigh-depressing amount of sense. Given the timeline involved, they could very well have been planning that the whole time. They introduced the weapons when they released nyzul, yes? Then sometime later, oh btw winning floor 100 gives you this key item... which just HAPPENS to make floor 100 drop your job's weapon and does nothing else? Very, very suspicious.
I hope the upgrade involve a fight on those 3 stone tablet islands. I really want to go there...
The items used for the upgrade can only be found on a desolate island filled with AV-Class HNM's. The only possible means of getting to said island is by breeding a gold chocobo.
Whoa whoa whoa whoa...
You're supposed to breed the chocobo's with other chocobo's?
Not breed with chocobo's?
FUCK!
No wonder it never worked.
Hilarious.

Did anyone else catch this?
"Our Aht Urhgan", indeed. I would have expected Halver to be a bit more subtle about his hatred, though.History teaches us that the misuse or misappropriation of weapons of this magnitude can only lead the most disastrous of consequences. We can only pray that a threat so great as to warrant their consideration for use ->will ever cast its shadow<- over our Aht Urhgan.![]()
Perhaps its been said once or perhaps multiple times but with this 'omg Balrahn' fun shit coming out next update:
SPLIT NYZUL AND SALVAGE MMK?
Or make Salvage free, problem solved. Wasting 1.5k AP and getting 0 drops from all the QQs in Arrafaggo isn't exactly my idea of points well spent.
So clever, you.Originally Posted by Eleidon

Timeframe isn't the problem, especially when things like bodies require a lot of effort on the ingots side alone. However there are dry runs where nothing will drop, not including forcepops, 100%s or bosses, which are usually targetted specifically for certain people. If these new weapons require items/currency (lol) from Salvage, -and- for the owner of a Nyzul weapon to have a Runic Key, the timeframe to get both and keep up with Assault Points/tags for entry is huge. Then again, comapared to Dynamis relic, SE can slap on the usual "these items weren't meant for everyone" phrase, and we can all get along with our lives.Originally Posted by Kaylia
gdi I hate speculations, and how lucky you were with drops. D:
It's funny cause its probably gonna happen and you'll probably lose at least 5 times ;3Originally Posted by Charismatic
I recall that I read somewhere in a fanfestival report that the new relics would be less powerful than the old relics. This report also stated that old relics would be getting a boost in power to allow room for the new relics.
Does anyone comfirm this or did I dream it? I can't find the source anymore.
I heard the same thing, pretty sure that was at fanfest.Originally Posted by Croaker
Lame, I was reading some of the last interviews at fanfest and not sure if anyone remembered this but I sure didn't.
I was really hoping the new WSs would have been learned separately. What is the effect or purpose of the Nyzul Isle weapons?
While still a few updates off, these items will be an ingredient to be used in new relic weapons with all new weapon skills.
I can't find anywhere about what they said about buffing exist relic weapons.
I asked the same question and I was at the fan fest. I never remembered hearing them say anything about boosting the old relics. I don't even know if they said anything about the comparative strength of the relics.
The WS's are going to be learned seperately, because if you watch the WoTG trailer, the weapon skills that the characters are using are holding weapons that look nothing like the ones here.Originally Posted by orson

If the Nyzul relics are like the originals we may be able to unlock the WSs before actually finishing the weapon though. Also SE can easily change the .dats, heck, they might not have had the weapon models done before showing the WSs. I really hope you're right but atm the only word from SE is that they will be attached to the new relics.Originally Posted by Lasky
